@@akojiodinaka5042 that's one thing he can really boost of, but we are not sure of the quality, time will tell. But lots of road in the city are still not done. And apart from road there's no tangible project he has done with our money. Rochas is really better, this man in Douglas house has not done one quarter of what rochas did. I hope he accounts for the whole money he has hid, after this his administration.

@@akojiodinaka5042 Owerri is one of the best places to invest, especially in real estate. Prices of Landed properties in the town doubles like crazy. If you are lucky enough to own one in "new Owerri", you're the boss..lol

Imo state doesn’t end in owerri. It’s huge on gas and oil. It has a refinery, largest gas plant at d verge of completion and also huge in palm. Must everywhere be industry. Owerri is planned to not have such. If u want to build factory go to orlu or Ngor okpara. Etc

Bro, the yakking about is that Imo state is operating at a fraction of its true potential. Imo state is the 5th richest state in Nigeria by Gdp yet doesn't have much to show for it. Our roads, infrastructures, standard of living are all below par. I do not know what their yearly budget allocation is but I know that corruption is inextricably interwoven in the daily management of the state resources. Imo state can do way better than it has currently done....

@@Obidike82 I can agree with you 100% Obi Dike! Your analysis goes for the entire 36 states in Nigeria ! I am a strong agitator and advocate for restructuring and devolution of powers to the states... on the one hand... But since 1999, only a few state governors ( not up to 5) have displayed the capacity for true governance! What am I saying here, all states have to work hard to advance their jurisdictions, focusing on federal government positions can only be a distraction !

@@aframaco9491 Bro, I can't agree more. I liked the style of governance of the First Republic. Each leader represented their regions and it provided room for healthy competition, growth and rapid development between states. During this period, each regional government had control over natural and human resources found within their territories as well as broad powers to use these resources to fast-track development. I believe Sam Mbakwe was partially a product of this era. Every thing has gone downhill since power was concentrated at a federal level and has consciously/subconsciously encouraged marginalisation. When you talk about few state governors who have displayed capacity for true governance, Akwa Ibom comes to mind as a positive case study. Their blueprint can be used by all states (with the exception of Lagos & Abuja) as a yardstick to accelerate rapid growth and development...
