In love with this type of music - must be from back in my repressed memory of growing up in the 60's and 70's. "Going out of my head" amazing! I can listen to this, and other muzak like this all day. I love hearing gorgeous renditions of popular songs from my youth. And prefer without vocals. After going through so many genres of all kinds of music and enduring so much of life's challenges - this is about all I can stand to listen to anymore. Thanks for uploading this!
I used to listen to this music all the time on my commute to and from work in '99-01'. There was a station in MD around DC that played this music. Mostly like Andy Williams, Ray Conniff, Percy Faith, Matt Munro, Johnny Mann singers, Arthur Fiedler, Herb Alpert, Enoch Light, Mantovani and the likes. I was broken hearted one day when I tuned in and they changed formats to 'another' smooth jazz station. I travelled a lot for work and there was another station in the Dallas area that played the same format. I would go to thrift stores and score TONS of old records for 50 cents or a buck in the '90's. Nobody wanted them. It always struck when I was listening to this music and buying these albums that there were literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of recordings and music that would be lost forever because it would never be transferred to a digital format or preserved. I remember after listening to CD's for so long how 'dead' they sounded compared to hearing an old LP record even with an occasional pop or hiss. I currently have an old Sony direct drive turntable and a Fisher tube amp. Nothing sounds like an old Class 'A' tube amp.
@@manitoba-op4jx I was kind of just a casual collector back then. I think of all the stuff I passed over it was crazy. Most of it was 'give away' prices. About 12 years ago or so there was a place near me that was in business for decades, since like the late '60's early '70's, same place, just about ANY RECORD ever pressed that you wanted, they had or could get. I went in there once or twice but it would take days if not weeks to go thru their inventory. I always planned on going back. They're long gone now.
Everyone has their preference on how things sound. But I don't mind digital myself. Case in point this RU-vid upload is 1's and 0's just like a CD would be. It doesn't sound "dead" to me. Whatever floats your boat.
Im livin on South OF SPAIN....lov so much clasics american MUSIC from past...lov classics romantics ...all bout from past....NEVER BEEN TO USA!!; always wanted to can to visiting or travellin TO USA,,,maybe ,, Someday!! Seems beauty place for to visiting It !! Greetings from South OF SPAIN!!!!!
not only is it perfect for getting work done, but when people walk in your office to ask you something they are usually completely thrown off by the 1970's Department Store vibe. But you can't acknowledge it, just act cool.
I find this type of music very comforting. So smooth and relaxing. Maybe because it reminds me of my childhood a simpler time in my life. Thanks for posting.😊❤

Hey Hispy! Just discovered your channel this past weekend, and I wanted to thank you for the uploads! Great seeburg selections. As a side note, the track "Going Out of My Head" was also performed by Stu Phillips on his album "Feels Like Lovin". There is a decent quality upload of it around here somewhere, and if you dig this kind of music I think you'd dig that album :)
Great tunes, thanks for transferring and posting this to RU-vid! Seeburg always selected good tracks, especially for their 1000 BMS. :) I wonder if this LP was made from the same tapes used to cut the 1000's discs from.
The issue was that we were forced to listen to it. I worked for a company that used an AM stations sub carrier for Muzak with receivers all over town, it was everywhere!
