I loved the review, and I wish there were more. I'm sad to hear that Cat and Mouse Games have closed just as I learned they existed. Those shelves behind Beth are some of the greatest games ever made, and the suggested games are top notch. 10 years on, thanks for a great review.
Beth is so good as a reviewer. I know its many years later, but it would be great if the Dice Tower could get her to do more reviews! Love the rondel mechanisms in this game. Will now have to check out Finca and La Strada.
In this overview there are a few (little but still) mistakes, aren't they? At the start there is a faced down tile missing at the board and the guild master should actually be starting on the next field (with the little printed guildmaster in front of it) - granted, this is really not that important. More important is the fact, that in the german rules you do _not_ get a governor if you fail to reach the required target of points, but he'd move on to the next windmill on the map.
Good review adn I like the recommendations at the end, that's helpful. Maybe add a short intro to your vids. Has someone done a huge collage of all the Euro box covers that feature some old guy with an odd expression on his face?
I'm all for context, and I like having other games at the end. However, I have no idea how they relate to Seeland, why I would pick X over Y. That would be a welcomed addition.
this game is pretty cool, despite the theme... I might need to change need to rename the cabbages and rapeseeds to something more engaging for the kids... long live the dutch !!
