@@Longhornchassis2thefront heck, Kenny Wallace said Nutrien Ag is the highest paying sponsor in dirt racing as a whole, and JD gets the highest cut of winnings of any dirt driver, I doubt he leaves anytime soon
I feel like dirt track racing could be massively popular in america if it was marketed correctly and had the right media coverage. We have great racing and great personalities.
Bigger is seldom better. Bigger would almost immediately eliminate a huge percentage of the local shorts tracks across the country. Cost to attend races would go the way of Indy Car and Nascar with the average fan maybe seeing one race a year. I agree the sport could use a new wave of fans. From what I'm seeing, streaming is having a positive effect.
@busher69 no it wouldn't, a select amount of races on tv at nicer facilities would only help local racing. People will see it on tv and will want to go watch a race in person
Congratulations to Rico Abreu. Coming from nascar where it's all drama all the time dirt racing is a breath of fresh air but i do think as it grows so will the speculation and hype and all that stuff
Yes everyone loves palace intrigue even if they say they don't. I like that dirt racing is more no nonsense then other forms of racing but more transparency would be fun
While at the Whistle Stop during Kings Royal week was talking to some locals. They told me Tony is buying up the farms around Eldora to build a drag strip.
I like dirt racing more than any other. If it were more accessible to fans in prime TV spots, I believe it would eventually be the most popular. Agree 100% on story lines. Great show! Even in an alternate universe.
Congrats to Rico! Also great run for JMaC on the West Coast. Hope his teammate Buddy has success back home, I'll be at Merced to hopefully watch him win
It sounds like the dream team I had made up of Mark Richards and Scotland quest could possibly have happened if Scott wouldn't have passed away. Mark was going to have him test the car
Great insight into the reality of social media Justin, I totally agree with you point there. It was be very good for dirt racing if there was more disclosure of the inner workings of teams and series.
Sometimes I think the main reason for team change for bigger drivers is for a boost in their overall performance by holding themselves accountable and working hard to build a good working team and it's unbelievable just how much knowledge can be shared between a Driver and team owner sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I truly believe that every single racer has off Year's regardless veteran or rookie and those off Year's where nothing seems to go right are the best year's for a driver and team learning more and more about their car's and routines and how to get a whole night put together and it builds the best driver's and teams to have those hardships will gain knowledged to them more than any amount of money ever could.
Thought it was hilarious that ssi motorsports guy was shocked people were talking about him dumping RTJ online. Sport has grown alot in the past 20 years
The Rocket House car was literally designed around overdriving, start jumping and reckless young men, not seasoned vets. I think their performance with an older driver has shown their limitations.
I'd like to see Mark richards hire drake Troutman. The kid can wheel a car. I'd like to see Tyler carpenter too but he's a loose cannon with his words lol
If Dirt Tracks don't have fans going there and watching the races the track would close down. If no fans there no sponsor money shows up. Most tracks don't have good enough lighting to show a night race on TV.
I certainly hope JD doesn't go to Rocket and i hope McCreedy has a home at Rocket until he is ready to slow down . He's getting up there in age you know and i know for certain he and his wife are concerned about what might happen at years end
Mark said somewhere that he has to have a approval of h is sponsors before he makes a decision he won't lose a sponsor for a driver that makes sense since they pay the b ills.
I would be all for that Davenport go to the rocket house car an tmac go to lance landers ride cause tmac had a lot of success in the longhorn plus won championships in the Lucas series to so who knows we definitely have seen some crazy things happen this season for sure in the dirt late models
Need to get the sport on tv somehow, it's totally possible, just put time limits on the heats, eliminate the b main. Select midweek tv series at exciting tracks would be huge for the sport
I agree completely, this stuff has a huge leg up on nascar in that people can go watch a local version of it in person. Putting the top teams on cable TV would help expose it more to the average joe
well I would love to see sunshine courtney at least get 2nd or at least a win in the weekday run, sweet is of course multi time champion of the outlaws, and you have many that have went the high limit route that are from all over the best variety of the best of all regions, a kid from indiana beating the stars from cali would mean a lot and show we can put good drivers forth, several have said courtney is good but not good enough to race with the big dogs, and I think his run so far proves he can run with top tier with the guys from pennsy ohio iowa and cali.
Put them other drivers with Sweets team and they would be just as good. Donny S. has great stuff (except motors). If Sweet wins the Championship this year I see him losing a few teams next year. Seen it happen before even at local dirt tracks.
@@billschaefer3818 yea you got to have decent stuff to drive to have a chance to dominate its an expensive sport for sure though, what will be for next year remains to be seen and the chartering systom
@@manga12 A Sprint Car Chassis, on dry slick smooth track, is only good for 3 races if trying to win at the big races. Doug Wolfgang told us that at the Knoxville Nationals back in the late 1980's.
@@manga12 Sprint Car Chassis are built with Chrome Moly Tubing, it takes a spiecal bender to bend it even. has to be tig welded. If you bend a Sprint Car Frame, it is crusher time. The Late Models and other cars I worked on were DOM tubing if I remember right.
Is it just me or does it feel like Sprint Cars at least get more openness than DLM? Its not very open, but it feels like you just get more random teasers and rumours than DLM racing.
I really believe if Joseph had a crew chief and race more he would probably be better over all. The way it is now the car setups not close enough in practice for him to know what adjustments to make for qualifying so he's fighting out of a hole all night.
You talk so fast when you have a boatload of info I struggle to keep up. Honestly not a complaint I reality enjoy All of the info you deliver. Congradulations to Rico and RTJ And whoever woni The ARCA Dirt race. Nascar is diligently trying to run off their old fan base and late models could benifit biggly..
I watch every single video every post..... And I know Kubota does a lot for you money the Jesus the whole one minute thing kills us. At the front of your program. And you have it everywhere Justin so we all get it Kubota which is great. I would not recommend spending the first minute on your past videos talking about Kubota . Sorry and I hit you up on Facebook myself. But we all know Kubota Kubota Kubota. Got it
Uh... Today's show didn't even have a Kubota read. And I only do Kubota ad reads once a week. So four shows in five don't have one. As I've said many times before, ad reads are marked in the timeline on RU-vid. You can literally just skip past them if it's such a problem. I want this show to remain free for folks to watch, which means being ad supported. The read on today's show was 1 minute, in a nearly 11 minute show. That's 9%. A typical NFL broadcast is something like 25% ads. And you can't skip past those. I'm sorry if it bothers you, but it's not going to change.
And no you didn't, sorry. I will continue to watch. Sunday through Thursday just saying Bub. I respect you I love dirt track racing and that's all it needs to be said
Kubota helps Justin monetarily so he can do Dirtrackr fulltime and have time for his family. If he has 10 minutes talking about Kubota and 5 minutes talking about dirt racing, I'm still in and watching it all. For the free content that Justin actually puts in a lot of time to, it's well worth it.
