I'd say taste the rain because of the lyrics, but the backing vocals on the title track and the part at 26:50 are too good. From taste the rain to the end of the album is all kino.
i have listened to oyasumination so many times that listening to it is just playing the videoclip on my mind, taking a hike along the cosmos with icarus in tow. You really rock man, your music is amazing and all your songs are pure love for music
"Though I Fear, I Still Walk" came up on a Mass of the Fermenting Dregs-based playlist, and I want you to know it had me ugly crying in the middle of the office. Great album.

I noticed subtle differences in the album's versions of some of the songs vs the ones that were released with videos. Personally I love the album's versions and bought the album immediately after hearing Oyasumination. But now I have grown very, very fond of "taste the rain," and "though I fear, I still walk,". Those two songs to me are very close hitting and special to me now. I also want to say that, "though I fear, I still walk" is an amazing song to end the album off. It feels like a proper farewell to the listener, its inspirational, powerful, and beautifully composed. So in the end I just want to say seeyalater, Stratocaster.

I randomly stumbled upon oyasumination a while back, and i was really stoked when i found out it wasnt just a standalone song. This has become one of my favorite albums this year. I look forward to listening to more of your music in the future!

I’ve only just discovered your music and I can’t describe how much hope you’ve given me despite how hopeless my life has felt the past year. I lost my job last year due to depression and a sense of utter hopelessness with the state of the world. I’ve been paralyzed this whole time due to a fear of failure or even making the world worse than when I entered it. The first song I heard from you was “though I fear, I still walk” and I have to say that the version on this album has to be my all time favorite song ever. When paired with the journey this album takes you on it conveys a deep sense of yearning and hope despite the bittersweet experience that is life. Things may get worse sure, but if you choose to walk you’ll find happiness in the moments that you created. The moments that exist because you or I were there to make them good. It goes without saying, but your music has changed my life completely. The journey this album took me on changed my perspective from feeling too useless to be of any value to the world to being a puzzle piece in a collage of many talented people. Seeing how many people have had this album resonate with them on a deep level I truly hope that all of us can collectively continue to make a difference in the world as profound as you have for us. somewhat late to the party but i'm literally in love with this album, things like the harmonic and lyrical leading in rose-tinted bitter grudge and fall semester song, the way you make eleanor sound so human in all of the tracks she's a part of, how chaotic so much of the backing is with the huge variety in the sounds you use but how well it all ties together it's just. so good. been on repeat for the past month or so and i'm just not getting tired of it at all
This album is genuinely one of my all time favorites. It's short but so sweet. I love the instrumentation in all of these songs, but my favorites are John Frustrante and Fall Semester Song.
hi! i’m lowkey late to this album, it came way to me by a tweet of a spotify screenshot on my tl about a week ago and it must’ve been a godsend or something because i think this album came into my life at the perfect time (warning: essay ahead) i’d like to pick just one track to talk about, but a majority of the songs in the album are All my favorite haha. so i’ll just say some of my favorite aspects of each song i favored. taste the rain. this song is perfect for me rn. i took this song to heart and i cried more than once listening to it (more than i’d like to admit). this song reminds me of a friend of mine amongst other things and man it’s just. perfect. one of my favorite lines is, “do you have something left to prove, yeah?” eleanor’s voice is just tuned perfectly on that line and i really love it though i fear, i still walk. i feel like i definitely needed to hear a song like this. for the past few days i found myself saying that phrase to myself pretty often. the lyrics are really beautiful and this might be my favorite song in the album. it being the last song in the album is a really nice way to end it (although i’ll end up looping the album a few more times anyways) john frustrante. if i’m being honest i don’t have much to say about this one but i just love the way it sounds. both the tuning and the music work so well together and it’s one of those songs i just plug into my ears on repeat when i need to focus on something. i’ve been looping this alongside kairiki bear’s “electrostatic girl” and honestly it only took a few days for this album to become one of my favorites of all time! i’ve streamed this album for over 11 hours in the past 10 days which might be a Disease but it’s a disease i don’t mind having. i checked out some of your other songs too! my playlist is going hard rn
