The best of Shadow in my opinion was in the game Sonic 06, i loved his personality there. He was edgy but not arrogant and unnecessary angry and that was the Shadow i respected
Can't we just go back to how Shadow was in 06 please, I know this game is a disaster but man everyone agrees that 06 had the best Shadow in every Sonic game. Seriously I just want to see my favorite character back, not an edgy, unlikeable, arrogant to the point of being unbearable, weak, useless, borderline stupid Shadow,who loses his composure every time .

AND WE ARE STILL FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THE POOR DECISIONS THOSE TWO MORONS MADE TO THIS DAY!
I’ll say shadow’s last IDW arc and his portrayal in prime is a head start. Hopefully he’ll have a major role in sonic frontiers sequel and we get a super shadow team up with super sonic. It’s been a while since 06 we’ve had super shadow. Also he’s gonna need a portrayal that can top 06. 06 can’t be the only best version of him. Also Sega needs to understand: he doesn’t hate sonic (I meant in a immature way), he has friends with team dark (2nd most popular team), and he does have a heart. They need to stop sidelining him and giving him small screen time like he’s a dead character. If they wanted to make him like vegeta NEWS FLASH, Sega vegeta has character development too and he’s even more popular than goku because of that. In my opinion: I wish we get an interaction with him and whisper. They have the same origin.
I’ve been playing Shadow The Hedgehog a ton recently. I see so much potential in the game but I feel like some of the writing and gameplay needs to be tweaked. I would absolutely LOVE a remake or a sequel. Or both! (Please SEGA you will make money trust I’m begging)

@clasherinotheone5249 well yeah of course in my opinion shadow the hedgehog is kinda better then heros I feel like people liked it more mostly because It had more playable characters maybe but idk I just felt like shadow the hedgehog was a more complex game to me but I will admit heroes multi-player I do enjoy alot more then shadows perhaps the multi-player also plays a part
Shadow 05's story really isn't that bad when we're going for the Japanese dub with the real sub. And I think gameplay can be improved even further by having obtain skills or buffs in every branching paths.
In my opinion he was best at the end of his own game (aka the last story), letting go of the past and becoming his own, but now he is stuck all over the place. It could be fixed by making a sequel to the game.
Since the next sonic movie will features Shadow, I see a lot interest on the character. They (Sega, IDW, Sonic Boom) lately taugh us that Shadow is an edge lord and an assole (In IDW is even stupid) that we forgot who truly Shadow was. Many forgot that most of his conversation are civilized and that he also had a softer and occasionally amusing side (Who murdered StH, Sonic Prime showed this side of him after more than one decade). "Cowards run, I win!" is a meme :D
But how exactly does the uninhabited mode works? It might not work the same as the one from X or Archie. Like the super form that has a time limit in uses but not in the games.
It’s probably because of segas changes of writers and the new writers didn’t pick up where things left off. I think they should really let shadow’s potential run wild or add him in the frontiers update
8:34 Which makes it worse is the fact that shadow is based of super sonic. (Shadow is based off the sonic 3 meural where super sonic was chasing down Eggman the final boss, if you know you know). You can see it in the quills.

Things were already tense between the Ark and GUN after the Biolizard wrecked stuff, with the Black Arms deal being the straw that broke the camel's back. 2:49 9:18This is honestly pretty sad. His actions after STH, for the longest time, have had nothing to do with Maria or Gerald. It's very disappointing. But it's not the first step they took that messed things up, what with how they decided to suddenly have him remember his past in one of their comics. It was never once mentioned that he got his memories back in STH. He did get all 7 of them, but then Black Doom showed up and took them before he could use them to make his wish come true. And by the time he got the Emeralds back, he decided "Nah, never mind."
i would imagine shadow is lazy now and just doesnt want to use his full power anymore but still goes around doing random shit to discover himself or something. after adventure 2 shadow might actually have nothing to do as in not having any goals and just be depressed. this to me would explain why he would do nothing in generations but care enough to show up and watch what happens since he does care about the world some amount. that being said you probably could get shadow to use his full power if you make him build up to it correcly.
SOME people love him more than Sonic, last I remember, he's the 2nd most popular Sonic character behind Sonic, and somehow surpassed Tails, who ranked 3rd.
Nah go hand definitely didn’t get his swagger back but as for shadow I get where he’s coming from I feel the same shadow needs another game or at lest making him playable in a new one like we got rails and knuckles again beige shadow when he got the same moveset as sonic. And the power difference I’ll say shadow is just based off of sonic so he could be stronger but I have watched videos basically showing the sonic is at the current point in the series far stronger then shadow. And it does make sense when you look at how it’s laid out cause with each new game for the most part since the adventurer too sonic is flat out stated to be the fastest thing alive while shadow in some cases is said to rival or is fast but not as fast as sonic like flat out stated in some cars or it’s insinuated heavily.
I always thought that Shadow isn't taking his inhibitor rings, because of how dangerous that is not only for him, but to others around him too, as I have a head cannon that he can't go for a long time without them as he wastes too much chaos energy without them.
Being real, they've been bullying and clowning Shadow since after Sonic 06. Even the IDW comics had him behave way more gruff, Vegeta-like and for some awful reason he falls pray to the metal virus the issue after he arrives to help. Really? The Ultimate Life Form who can't get sick and can't die succumbs to the metal virus? Am I the only one who thinks this could have been the perfect opportunity for Shadow to come in clutch with his Immunity to the virus? Weak.
I don’t think a choose your own path game was meant for shadows game. Yes I like the idea of a sonic game having choices whether it’s good or bad or neutral but in I think it would be better it was one single story with shadow working with black doom because of the chaos emeralds having keys to his past and then eventually working with sonic and friends. I don’t mind another shadow game but hopefully they don’t make it edgy, or have choices in it. I only see shadows next game having one story.
I have a better question: Why aren't most of the characters getting their own game!? Heck with it! Why not bring back Maria and make Cosmo canon!? Tangle, apparently, was confirmed to be canon according to Sonic Frontiers and Sonic was brought back to life by the Chaos Emeralds in 06! Not to mention that Master Emerald is literally the master of power and capabilities immensely compared to the Chaos Emeralds! I really must know! 😱😠💢
the meta era was the worst era hen it comes for stories and characters like shadow's character was ruined in the meta era unlike the 2000s era, I think that the best shadow we ever got was shadow from sonic x and from sonic 06. I think shadow is suppose to be a guy who wants to protect his friends so doesn't have to see the people he loves die again and be nice to the people around him not edgy and keep acting like he doesn't care and he doesn't like anybody Ian Flynn doesn't know how to write shadow write he just copied vegeta from DBZ and said that's shadow

I think shadow takes his inhibitor rings for major crisis events and he gets tired after having them off so it makes sense that he wouldn’t take em off against sonic since sonic is a waste of time that won’t get beat but also shadow can’t control his power when he takes off the inhibitor rings but beating sonic without them sounds petty and he knows he can win but he doesn’t want to get tired like that for anything dumb but also something I would love is for him to become relevant but I hope that he gets a good role and story. To all the sonic fans that think he can beat shadow… that’s plot armor shadow is def stronger

@@awesomezebroz_2949 shadows blast is almost instant and ik sonic outran a black hole but I don't think sonic has experienced or seen chaos blast before so idk what he would do but obviously shadow can pin him down and use it or he can easily put the inhibitor rings back on to not waste unnecessary energy
@@crimsonzone8984 i think its basically a super form but idk maybe stronger? idk but basically its a huge power boost but has the downside of making him exhausted asf hes canonically the strongest character since when he turns super and takes his rings off he would be either 2x or 3x stronger than his normal super form.
Here's the thing though. Pontac & Graph were like localizers or translaters that really suck. And Shadow's downfall didn't even started at the 2010s, it's always the poor localization that's to blame like in Shadow's self-titled game that had horrible miss translations. (And Sega's stupidity)
7:23 ive only read up until the end of the metal virus so far, but from what ive seen, ion like the idw shadow. hes to angry and egotistical, while shadow is supposed to be a calm, self reserved and logical person.

When shadow takes off his inhibitor rings he only takes off 1 or 2 never all 4 he never takes off the one on his shoes so we never see his true power. I don't even think Sega know how powerful he is.
The example with gohan was the worst actually, since he himself doesn't want to be fighter, he wants to be a scholar, yet you guys want him to be fighter

Honestly Shadows arc from SA2-Shadow the hedgehog is absolutely top tier imo, Shadows true ending completes his arc and then in sonic 06 we see the best and most complete version of shadow imo, one who has become his own person and overcome the past
