This collection is missing SO many awesome Genesis games; Earthworm Jim 1 and 2, Boogerman, Cool Spot, Chester Cheetah, Castlevania, Beavis and Butthead, Ren and Stimpy: Stimpy’s Invention, Ecco 1 and 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Aladdin, Lion King and many many others. I’ve considered buying it. I just don’t know if the exclusion of some of my favorite Genesis games warrants the $30 price tag. Must give props on Toe Jam and Earl: Panic on Funkotron though. I love that game.
what they should have done on all console versions was give us the option to buy more Sega games to add to the library, would love to have games like Truxton, snow bros ETC
Mean bean machine, Golden Axe, Sonic 1, Altered Beast, Kid Chameleon, Flicky Played all of these on a plug and play radica system back in 2006. Nostalgia is real
I'm liking the more subdued/natural narration, hate "over the top" RU-vidrs "HEY GUYYZ ITSYABOY SQUISHYSQUIRREL COMIN AT YA ON THIS MONDAY MORNING, AS USUAL HIT THAT SUBSCRIBE BELL AND I'LL KEEP HITTING YOU UP WITH FRESH CONTENT!" etc. - you've earned a subscription my friend.
A shame Crusader of Centry- Soleil in Europe is not in this compilation. A very good action rpg, really beautiful and fun. It's a Sega game, so it's a bit weird.
Landstalker is fine, just got to use the pro controller. Yeah it uses all diagonals to move, and late into the game the jumps are super precise, so you wouldn't want to use a d-pad without diagonals.
Wut? : I have searched high and low for an answer, Googled it and asked this question on RU-vid reviews like this one, but no one can give a straight answer. Its starting to feel like its a closely guarded secret! If you do stump upon an answer somewhere, please share the link. 😊
I do think Goldenaxe III is a bit underrated, they did add a fair bit of complexity to the combat with plenty of different combos, team combos etc. and it has some fantastic music, branching paths etc. - though the backgrounds are fairly plain, they could have done a better job there. A fun game if you give it a chance though.
Where is Afterburner, Stider, Mercs, or Thunderforce on here ?!?! Alot of games I have no interest at all. Love Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Altered Beast... already have Sonic Mania... wish like Super Thunderblade was more the arcade version.
Any recommendation of how to play these on the switch? The joystick doesn’t work because you can’t just choose the eight directions that were available on the second genesis controller. I’ve tried. Sonic 3-D blast is not easy to control!
If there's any input lag I certainly didn't notice it, and the audio seemed fine to me. Obviously I can't rule out any glitches completely but I'm a bit of a stickler for that sort of thing and didn't notice any issues.
A big shame that Wonder Boy in Monster World got removed. Would honestly throw out the crappy Sonic Spinball or Golden Axe Trilogy for both it and Monster Lair any day of the week.
Golden Axe is a classic franchise. No way they're going to leave that off. What was truly missing was Earthworm Jim, Turtles: Hyperstone Heist, Strider, Castlevania Bloodlines, X-Men 1&2 and Mutant League Football.
I'm only missing truxton, ghouls n ghosts, aladdin and revenge of the shinobi, then this would be a complete collection of every game I owned on the genesis. It's really impressive how you can just grab the rom files out of the steam version tho so there's how you can get all those roms legally and slap them on your raspberry pi or whatever. Wish nintendo would do that instead of shutting every venue to get old games down and screwing people over with their "service" crap.
Don't talk down virtua fighter. While the genesis version doesn't make sense, the saturn version is a balanced master piece with a high learning curve.
I think it's funny how Nintendo gives you a genesis when you pay for online membership and then they make it so you can pay for this and play it with out the membership XD
All collection games never ever pack the mega legendary popular games! They always just throw in a couple or three here and there. They then fill it up with crap. Its just a visual propaganda scheme. I can name tons of Genesis games that are missing.
Seriously. I kept wanting to tell him to STOP MUMBLING, slow down and enunciate. His sentences just trail off into a mumble. And it's not the accent that is throwing me. I actually liked what he was saying when I could actually understand it.
