Hello, first congratulations for the channel, could you help me with a problem I'm having? I'm trying to run the game Nights into Dream, but the screen loads but the game goes to the sega saturn configuration screen, understand? In other words, the game does not open...can you help me to answer this question?
Is there any possible way to run this with a nrg file , if not are there any suggestions to convert it so each file does not needed to be mounted in order to play, kind of ruins the great launchbox experience having to mount it, i am runing windows 10, thank you for an help in advance.
Being pretty new to the emulation scene, I tried Yabuase but I could never get the damn thing to work right. Then I found out about Mednafen and ahhhhh. Saturn JUST WORKS, every game I've tried flawlessly with the exception of Space Jam. Would totally recommend Mednafen as the primary Saturn emu but it's good to have alternatives I suppose.
How do I open a disc image file, SSF emulator can open it with no problem but Yabause can't, I want to use Yabause coz I can't use cheats in SSF emulator, only in Yabause
When i run YabaSanshiro with bios Sega saturn (USA) v1.00 it turns on the music before intro and the intro has no animations when the game turns on the sounds and music plays but black screen anyone can help? im playing Sonic Jam this is the gamr that got the black screen
Doesn't work in 2023. just takes me to some music player on every game. I had been able to at least open 2 games with retroarch, die hard arcade and nights into dreams. I was trying to get Bug! to work but no emulator works. I'm starting to feel like the people who make these emulators either don't test them or are incapable of writing decent instructions on what is required to make them operate correctly.
Jason Barryy I'm really not sure. Of course some games aren't going to work correctly but that's what happens whit a lot of emulators. The compatibility list does have a few errors but a lot of good games do work perfectly for me.
Of the 3 choices Yabause is the worst though. One specifically big flaw I notice is in the game Darius Gaiden, the sound effects don't work. That is only one game though and I am sure that there is a somewhat decent selection of games that work fine in it. I would only ever use Yabause if my system couldn't handle Mednafen and I couldn't mount disk images for SSF.
Big fan of Retroarch and with the Mednafen core for Saturn here. IMHO, the fewer emulators to manage the better. Never tried Yabause so no hate for it, just don't have a need for it.
Yeah I prefer either the stand alone Mednafen or the Retroarch core first. SSF second if you don't mind mounting disk images and then Yabause would be the last choice if those first two are not an option for you and you have to play one of the few good exclusives like Nights, Guardian Heroes or Panzer Dragoon.
