Description
You must navigate cowboy Marshall Gram through the different strings of time to destroy the evil scientist Vulcor, rescue Princess Kyi-La of The Galactic Federation and save the universe from oblivion. The laserdisc game is rather unique in that it uses a parabolic mirror to project its images, thus creating a hologram-like effect for its gameplay.
Time Traveler was produced by Sega in 1991.
Sega released 593 machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1960. Sega was based in United States.

Time Traveller blew me away back in the day as well, and so did Mad dog Mcree. Ahh the good old days ! its awesome that these cabinets still exist considering the prettty low volume that got in production

It was the closest thing to Star Trek’s holograph room. It was the coolest game in the arcade for me when I was a kid. 👍🏻

I remember when this game was new...I played it at Circus Circus in Las Vegas....at that time, it was $2 to play it....most games were a quarter.....

I loved loved loved loved this game as a kid despite not understanding it at all... I have the DVD player release but it's not the same of course. And scouring retro arcades in Japan I'm guessing it never made it here... Maybe videos like this are the last I'll ever experience this machine!

great game played it in the arcade, think the coolest is the special curved mirror that was made for the CRT to give that phantom image. you can actually recreate the effect with a tablet and a 4 way transparent plastic to dispaly the image.I always intended to make a huge 20 inch version and or mod a LED advertising display as it plays videos now to give that hologram look

Amazing condition and what a great game! I certainly remember and played Mad Dog McCree but never saw a Time Traveler. I bet it was amazing to see! Congrats on the cab.

Sadly I never got to see this machine back in the day, and now my vision is impaired so the 'hologram' effect won't look as good to me. Still cool to see how it works though.

I think people contacting you just to tell you Time Traveler sucks are out of line, TBH Personally, I didn't really appreciate games like this or any laserdisc based games when I was a kid and they where new however I've of course grown up since then and I also have a home arcade so if I manage to get these in it some time I'd probably appreciate them more now because of nostalgia reasons and a different perspective these days! BTW, I can't get over the fact that American Laser Games that made games like Mad Dog McCree where headquartered in and made games in my home town of Albuquerque, NM and they had their studio in the same block behind the amusement park my family and I used to go to growing up, Cliff's Amusement Park!
