The sizes for divers are trending down, thank god. Once they hit the 40mm to 39 mm size, they will fly off the shelves. That is one of the reasons Rolex has stayed so popular for so long. That is the sweet spot for a mans wrist.

I just bought one off the Internet. Absolutely beautiful watch. I love the crown at 3...cyclops is not too intrusive; the overall size, fit and finish is truly stunning for its price. Not too concerned about the movement. I've had the less expensive Skx series watch for a year and the movement has kept respectable time. Absolute thumbs up.
The current trend for these oversized watches has saved me a lot of money, since my 6.5" wrist precludes me from purchasing them, no matter how much I like them. Comfort is a main concern for me, and I don't want to constantly be aware that I'm wearing a big, heavy chunk of metal. This has ended my desire to buy any more, but I still enjoy your videos.
Yes, I hear you. A lot of the vintage orient divers I find are in a really comfortable 39mm average case width. If I can get enough of them together at some point in the future I will do a video on this! Cheers, thanks for watching the channel again😊🙏
My wrist is over 7 inches but I'm not interested in anything very large either haha. I have a vintage Citizen NY2300 (from 1993 I believe).. had it for the last 6 years or so as my everyday watch. It's great! Slim, elegant, highly visible, yet nothing special in the sense that you're worried about it. I've been considering the minni turtle, it's probably an upgrade from the Citizen, but I kind of feel like I'd be betraying its excellent service haha
Hi, nice video. I really love this watch, it's like a mix up of an SKX, Sumo and Turtle all rolled into one. The only slight negative is the crown at three o'clock, do love Seikos 4 o'clock crowns.
Great video, I really appreciate your design analysis. Good job capturing the various angles of the mid case etc. These are the things you never see in the website renderings and really showcase the great job that Seiko does on case finishing. I think I'll be adding the blue one this year

Good to see that Seiko opted for the new bezel on this one. If really hope this wears simillar (if not slightly smaller) than an skx - which I can pull of, even with my 6.5" wrist. The blue version with a sapphire crystal and a signed crown would be an absolute winner.
The baby turtle case looks great! I like the Sumo-esqe case. I don't mind the crown at 3, however, I wish the would have integrated the crown into the case like the full sized turtle!

Thanks for the video. The Citizen NY2300 is a remarkable watch, I’ve been wearing one for a few years now and throw everything at it, in the sea, on the mountain, every day at work, it’s just keeps going and delivers great accuracy. I’d buy another in a heartbeat.

Nice and surprizing model! It's still not a small watch but good to have a 20mm strap and a 3o'clock crown with a date magnifier and a quite different dial. Overall impression is great. Good job by seiko! Thanks a lot for the video and for the great content as always. My best regards.
Another superb quality, professionally done video. You have my full thumb up as always. This time I can contribute a little more in detail, as I have bought the baby turtle SRPC35(black dial with steel bracelet) on Jan 1st in BKK. Quality is on par with any other 4R/7S Seiko, which is to say that it is as robust as a full size turtle or an SKX series have been. My sample lost 12 second out of the box, but a few trip to Seiko service center BKK easily turn it into a Chronometer spec machine. I also have a full size turtle in my collection, though it doesn’t enjoy much wrist time due to its substantial size. I Love the fact that the baby turtle’s lug2lug is quite short, at just 43mm compares to a Rolex Sub lug2lug of 48mm, meaning this watch shines on my tiny(but flat) 6.25in wrist. Giving a graceful look of bracelet spreading out like wings from both end-links(instead of just droping down straight). A cyclop is giving it much added character. Although this is subjective coming from a guy who prefers a Sub date’s character over a Sub no date’s cleanliness. The baby turtle looks great with a round cyclop in person, and I simply won’t have it any other way. Yes, the crown at four would have given this watch a perfect ten on design, but in actuality.. I give it a nine as is, which is plenty good enough.
Robinsons Bangkok had a great discount recently so I picked one up. Perfect fit and size for a 7inch wrist. Put on an Uncle Seiko dive strap. Great combo
Great review. Love everything about this watch and it could be a SKX replacement. However, I think the 3 O'clock crown ruins it. Also makes me nervous that there is no crown guards.
Sam D. I kinda of agree ....I was hoping for an exact replica of the regular size turtle but just in a different size dimension. With that said I probably will pick one up regardless.
Thanks for the review and closer look at the new baby turtle. But, as you may have pointed out, it really looks more like a baby sumo. Most notably, the case. With those proportionately beefy twisted lugs and the way the sides rides up and partially covers the lower sides of the rotating bezel. Even the hour markers are more remiscent of the ones on the sumo than the turtle. I just wished they could have kept the crown at 4 o'clock, but it's a nice new smaller case diver, regardless.
I really like this one. I'm 6'-3 1/2" but don't like the massive watches, so I would definitely wear this one. The Cyclops is a nice touch too. Color is perfect with the black strap too. Every time I listen to your videos I feel so chilled out, safe and comfortable. :-) Like sitting in front of the fire and enjoy looking at my wife, kids and new blue Tudor Black Bay. ;-)
I'm not digging it other than the size. I wish Seiko would make one just like the bigger standard version in a smaller size. I really like the features of the bigger turtle including the crown positioning at 4 o'clock and round markers/indices! This new smaller version is just cutting it for me unfortunately. Not crazy about the circular cyclops as well. Pass. Anyway, thumbs up for the overview.
It looks like the center of the last link on the bracelet pivots independently, whereas on the regular Turtle it is fixed on the end link. That change should make a better fit for many smaller wrists. I think this mini will eventually replace the SKX in a year or so. They will release a bunch of new colors over a number of years to take the place of the SKX. Cheers.

Good to get the first video view of this much anticipated watch! I noticed the crown looked as if it was popped out a little and not fully screwed in, is this the normal setting for the crown?
I don´t know why but i like more the 4h crown and the sword at 12 is gone also... yeah but still a good looking watch, i really don´t know i have to compare it with size on my wrist, i have a small wrist about the same of the girl on the video but i also wear big case Casio G-Shock watch so maybe the older turtle can be a good choice

I like the crown position of the original turtle better and also don't like the cyclops. I don't mind the bigger size either. Original for me but its always good to have more options!

If you don't have a turtle yet, the deep blue is nice one to start with. If you already have one, I would recommend the blue baby turtle. It's a great all around size. 😉🙏 thanks for watching!

4:43 Seiko messed up their chapter ring alignment on the Samurai i just received an SRP775 today and it got the same problem. Watch out for that Chapter ring alignment folks when u buy any Seiko diver watch
