This is a full review of the Seiko Samurai - the version being looked at is the PADI version. It looks at sizes, specification, lume, pros, cons and what it's like to wear. Music: Hobotek - Symbiote Syndrome (start repeated)
Thanks Abdul. Yeah the Samurai is very robust and a true ISO certified diver watch! As you saw In the video I resized the bracelet, but I’m hoping to be more hands on in the future, so loving your RU-vid channel for such as required equipment and seeing how to for various jobs! ⌚️ 🔧 👍
@@OnetoWatch Great job with resizing the bracelet, I wish I was that careful with my watches, need to get some tape for the changing of strap, as I have a lot of scratches there 😂😂 Thanla buddy, glad you like it
Thanks for taking the time to comment and for your support 🙏 The Samurai’s 4R35 movement does have a large accuracy range according to Seiko of between +45 and -35 seconds a day! However, most are far more accurate than this - I think I’ve been lucky with my Samurais and Turtles (with the same movements) as most have run within +1 to + 3 seconds a day. As you’ve only just bought it, you may find that it will settle down once you’ve worn it for a few weeks. Also try keeping it fairly well wound as that should help. If after that it still runs out you could get it regulated or if able to regulate it yourself. Please let me know how you get on with it in a few weeks. Best wishes 🤞
I’m glad you enjoyed the review James. You are correct it does have Seiko’s hardlex. I think plexiglass is another word for the same thing, that I picked up from a specification for the watch.
Yeah l nearly sold it as I needed to get back to my own perfect amount of watches - 8!! 🤓😂 But luckily, in time, I realised I preferred the Samurai over the Turtle - even over the limited edition Blue Lagoon Turtle!! So I sold that instead! And now putting the Samurai on it’s bracelet (which is my preference) it feels like a new watch! I did have a Save the Ocean Samurai before this one and sold it, and have regretted it - so I should have known better!!
@@chrisp3330 I think it definitely looks better on the bracelet because of the chunky lugs and their shape. But tbh I also like the look of the bracelet and there’s a size setting that fits my wrist perfectly.
@@OnetoWatch hey mate nice review, I'm in the Market for a Sami particularly this Padi and the regular black dial.. I've tried the black one in person and it's beautiful but couldn't get my hands on a Padi my only concern is the Black dial on the Pepsi Bezel, I feel that it'd look better with a Blue Dial like the Turtle Padi.. How do you feel considering you've owned a Blue Lagoon and a Padi?
@@michaelgerges8359 I'm glad you liked my review Michael. I was in a similar position to you just over a year ago. I couldn't decide between the black or the black with the pepsi bezel. I'd also tried on the Turtle PADI a couple of years ago and that looked really good and it is very popular! So I also thought the blue dial worked better with the pepsi bezel! But when you see the Samurai PADI in the metal it works really well; and most other pepsi watches - Rolex, Tudor etc - have black dials with the pepsi bezel! So I'd highly recommend going for the Samurai pepsi! I honestly think the PADI versions are also better in alignment and quality too. And finally the wave pattern on the dial looks amazing!!
