I've bought and sold a lot of watches over the past 5-6 years but I keep coming back to my SKX007 and 009. They're now the only two dive watches I own.
I definitely think this watch is worth the money. I was blessed enough to have my SKX009 given to me as a Christmas gift 🎁 two years ago. I love my SKX009 and one watch that’s not going anywhere in my collection.
I'm not much of a dive watch lover but I just picked up an skx011j second hand. love that orange dial. and now that I have it in hand I get the hype... what a watch. and yes, the jubilee is as comfortable at the one that came with my tudor.... the only seiko bracelet I've ever been happy with. no strap changes on this one
I just love the looks of the skx007. I can’t justify the $500 USD plus asking price for a new one but the $300 ish that a good condition one goes for is reasonable in my head. Even if there are better specced watches for less, the SKX looks fantastic to me. I just got back into watches and I’m itching to get an skx007 back again. Thankfully, I have large enough hands as the skx013’s are even rarer and more expensive.
Obsessed with the look of this watch. The ones I find on eBay and Etsy tend to be “frankenwatches” with new movements, new bracelet, new face even…Found one for $450 CAD shipped which is still quite steep but feel like I might pull the trigger because they’re impossible to find.
Totally relate to your obsession! Had the SKX at least three times. Also one with an Arabic day display and let it go. I‘m a watch idiot… I also ask myself: where habe all the SKXs gone? Seiko must have produced hundreds of thousands
I bought it brand new in 06.2021 for 250e which i thought was super expensive and now the same shop sells it for 500e lol. I love the look of it as well, it looks so cool on the wrist. But for the price you may get a better more accurate, sappire watch but i think you know that. I would recommend you to buy used one and change the glass for new maybe saphire, and give it for case polishing. It may be still cheaper than buying it new.
@@wojciech5177 pretty happy with the new one for the price that I paid understanding that on paper there are better watches for the money - came i pristine condition, nearly dead stock. Probably will swap out the crystal and movement at some point but happy with it for now. The used ones I was finding were about $100-150 CAD with varying condition and varying degrees of authenticity.
