It’s very vintage inspired. Reminds me of watches I remember men wearing when I was a child. This isn’t a bad thing and actually pretty cool. The exhibition case back is a nice touch.
Avg. Joe Watch Reviews Yes, definitely has a vintage feel. It is probably something that appeals to more “older” men for sure. Thanks for watching my friend!
Nice little piece! The coloring definitely gives it a vintage vibe which I love. To me it seems more of a casual watch (at least that is how I would wear it) but it could easily be worn as a dress watch too. Great overview!
Swiss Watch Company Thanks for watching and commenting! Right, that’s seems to be the consensus so far, it’s a casual watch that could be worn as a dress watch! Appreciate the support!
@@TheTownWatch I appreciate you sharing! I'm a sucker for coloring like this and am about to pull the trigger on a gold Casio. Though this has me rethinking my decision haha.
Im using it as an everyday piece. I needed something gold and this will do the job for me. I’ll be using my Golden Panda as more of a dress watch or Sunday watch. The Seiko 5 Gold is more everyday for me.
Sweet little watch at a great price. I really like the way these fit on a small wrist like mine and this one has a cool 1970s vibe. I think it is smart casual but you could probably get away with wearing it as a dress watch. An AD near me has one in stock at a really good price so I will buy this Friday if it is still there. Thanks for a really useful review.
I have same watch left behind from my grandfather 30 years ago,but it doesn't have a display caseback. It still runs well and the lume still shines brightly!!
That’s very nice. It’s a Seiko 5, so it’s a casual watch, but in the modern age you could use it as a dress watch no problem. The bracelet has hollow links, so it is hollow. Very common for lower end bracelets to be like this. While I never had one, if you ever watch reviews of vintage Rolex’s, they had bracelets that were not to Off from this.
J. City Reviews I not completely sure as I never held a Rolex, but I believe some of there bracelets, not the Submariner’s, had hollow center links. They also had pressed clamp swingarms.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it! I have a full review of this watch on my channel as well, I hope you check it out! If you enjoy the content, please consider subscribing if you're not already!
Nice video. Could go as a budget dress watch, but as with the day date Rolex it can pull off most settings. Remember lug to lug in the full review 👍👍 keep the content coming 😊👍
Bernt Anders Bakke Yeah, I think you’re right. Could go both ways. All the measurements will be coming in the full review! 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting!
Looks great! Other than the 5 shield. Eventually I'll get over That dumb little emblem. I'd rock this with the right outfit, casual or dressed up. Great sleek case, and dial aestetics
@@TheTownWatch lol. I'm not an Invicta troll (though I would love to be their endorser). Oh I wish we could all just unbox Omega's and Tag Heuer's all day.🤷🏻♂️ And about the size... I got an unboxing that will surprise u. Cheers.
heads up, the band width is exactly 19mm, NOT 20mm as advertised. I learned it the hard way when I ordered a 20mm Strap but it was not fitting with the watch. Just a FYI
Pelito Palazo Thanks for watching and commenting! I would assume that this is a cheaper watch that yes the gold color will eventually wear off! I hope you’ll subscribe if you’re not already! Once we reach 1000 subscribers we’ll be doing another watch giveaway! You won’t want to miss it!
I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that Seiko uses "gold-colored" steel in their cheaper "gold" watches, rather than a plating. I.e. they pour some kind of coloring agent into the steel. Which is actually better even than gold plating as it won't wear off even when scratched. I'm not 100% on this but as far as I know that's how Seiko does it.
@@panzerkami2381 I’ve had this watch for over ten years now, I’m a watch collector, and it’s still shining and bright as the day I got it, just get it polished every now and then .
The only negative things about this watch is the cheap quality clasp and mineralglas display , but i can live with that 200 dollars is a reasonable price . Edit : I have the Watch now since 2 days , i never had such an automatic watch , it's different to my other automatic watches , it is powered by Kinetic energy only , so there is no winding option , so technically i have to move a lot to keep it running properly , the second hand doesn't stop if you are trying to set the exact time , so you have to hold it which is a little complicated because the crown is very small , then you have to let it go if the setting is right , but i am confused sometimes it doesn't run after holding it for to long , i don't get the logic behind such a function , The Movement runs to fast , really fast i mean like 5 seconds per hour , that's very bad even my watches with basic miyota movements do much better , i read somewhere that you have to regulate the watches by an Expert or Seiko service center , the only one here in switzerland is in Geneve , if this is not enough problems there is another burden with this movement , before you can regulate the watch to perfome properly you have to wear it for a few months up to 6 months so the movement can sit in . I know it's just 2 days but currently i really don't understand the hype around Seiko 5's , the design , weight and size is awesome but that is no where enough to satisfy me .
