The misalignment at the 6 is also on my SBDC063. It sucks, but it doesn't really bother me. I still wear it. Plus, I only paid $600, so I'll take that.
That misalignment at the 6 is ridonkulous. No excuse for that. Misalignment on any watch like that is not acceptable, including the Turtle, which I have and love. I don’t care how much or how little it costs. However, I probably would not have noticed it if you hadn’t pointed it out.
Yeah Seiko seriously needs to have better quality control. You're right, it shouldn't be tolerable on any watch, but definitely not one that's $500+. But this watch and the beloved Turtle are fantastic watches when it's all said and done
How can you say its value for money when it has quality control issues. This is quite common with seiko these days. And like you, I feel crowns should be signed or they look cheap. Seiko are lowering their standards and yet raising the prices. Good review though.
