Kinetic gmt diver white and gold special edition. "Yeti"
Big thanks to my buddy Mitch for letting me check this watch out.
Although it is a big watch, seiko has the ability to make a big watch feel smaller and it shows with this model for sure.

Boy, does the kinetic movement evoke strong emotions among watch enthusiasts. I have a BFK with the same movement and I find if I wear it one full day every two weeks, it retains a six month power reserve. But to have a conversation with automatic-or-nothing fans is an exercise in frustration. This Yeti variant is a handsome watch.

You’re preaching to the choir, Malik. I have seven Seikos in my collection at the moment, from an SKX007 to a Tuna and have owned an additional five Seikos in the past three years that I flipped for other watches. But Seiko and kinetic movements in particular engender a fierce debate on watch forums, which most of us nerdy enough to watch and comments on Rob’s channel probably all frequent. I agree with you that in the real world nobody cares what watch we wear, unless we work on Wall Street (I don’t) and feel the need to impress others with increasingly expensive Swiss timepieces. I drove my Toyota truck to this coffee shop where I’m typing this right now. The watch on my wrist? A Casio GD-100 G-Shock. When I get home in a hour or so, I’ll probably swap that out for a Gen 2 Orange Monster, just because I can. :)

I've had the bracelet from the SUN019 on my SUN065 PADI. Looks good, back on the silicon at present though.

TigerRider I purchased the metal bracelet from the Seiko store (VA-USA). I put the bracelet on the SUN065 and the silicon strap on the Yeti.

Lovely watch i have the special edition in all Black. I don't get the criticism about the kinetic movement after two days of wearing you have six months of power reserve so you can put it away for almost six months and stil it tells the right time when you put it on again....

Lia Dijkstra although you can theoretically do that I would not advise you to do it, as it will greatly reduce the life expectancy of the battery, better to wear it for a couple of days every 2-3 weeks so the battery is always topped up, that will prolong it's life!

So is the time 8 mins to 7 or 8 mins to 2 . That might seem silly to you but i have a seiko sun(cant remember number) land watch and the GMT causes me no end of trouble especially when its a quick glance. if i had the confidence i would remove the GMT hand or paint it red . I would never buy a GMT watch again because of my experience with the one i have.
