Sometimes I randomly wonder if Rosenbaum knows how talented he is. Michael, you are a great actor and a great writer and you are hilarious! Your one of those personalities that someone can just listen to and enjoy. Love hearing your stories from smallville like the ones you’ve told at different conventions, always so funny. Even if the regular person only remembers you from smallville that’s ok because you killed it man. Greatest Lex of all time. A lot of people will only ever remember Jason as George and that’s ok because he did an amazing job and George is probably the funniest sitcom character ever. Don’t ever feel down about something like that. So many people will forever hold you as the greatest at playing one of the biggest comic book characters of all time. We love Rosey!
Michael is by far My Favourite lex Luther, not only that I have fond memories of him in urban legend.. but more than all of that he has made on of the finest podcasts on RU-vid.. I could literally listen to him talk for hours on end.. such a great human being
This was perfect timing; just finished rewatching the entirety of Seinfeld on Netflix. Costanza is still one of the greatest TV characters ever created.
We need the Smallville characters to make an appearance in the DCEU Movie Multiverse. If Michael Keaton can come back as Batman no reason you guys cant make a return.
Absolutely loved this. The marine biologist scene from Seinfeld was my favourite comedic moment from any tv show or movie. Michael and Jason also had such a great rapport that it felt like listening to two friends catching up.
Wow, what an episode! Without a doubt my favourite episode of the show. I found myself surprised at what a cool guy Jason is and wondered why I wasn’t expecting him to be like that. I then realised that in my head I expected him to be more like the Jason Alexander character in Curb!
George!!! I’m pretty excited for this one!! Love Seinfeld!! Can’t wait to hear what stories Jason Alexander will share with you. I also loved his work in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance as Hugo ^_^ Thank you so much for getting him on the podcast Michael!! Keep up the awesome work and I hope you have an awesome week ^_^ Happy Tuesday 💙
Wow! George Costanza!! Can’t believe I have the privilege of getting to know this talented and kind man better = mensch❤️. As always, I am in your gratitude Rosey 🙏. Hope you have a week as amazing as you are💙. See you at both shows on Saturday 🎸🐸. Happiest week everyone!
Rosenbaum, if you can afford to drop $5K + on sonos products and not care if 70% of your owned property then is turned into paper weights with an "update," then good fer ya. Sell their products. But a lotta people who supported sonos from the start got burned, bad. That kinda company is shit in my books. I don't care how good they are they torched that bridge.
Jason Alexander is so interesting to listen to. I've never heard him in any interview, this is my first and I gotta say when he answers a question he's so clear and descriptive, even his mannerism is interesting to watch. He is a great conversationalist. Excellent interview.
As a fan of both Seinfeld and Smallville, along with both of your personalities and individual works, this was very unexpected treat. What a terrific episode. Thanks gents!
Bravo Michael! One of the best interviews yet! I laughed outloud, held back some happy and touching tears - fun! Mr. Alexander- I have loved all your works from Brandy's Cinderella to seeing you live in LA in "The Producer's". I would be lucky to meet you someday. Keep on performing! Thank you both! Bravo!
One of my favorite people to listen to in interviews. Such as kind, open, & honest people. He's so lively that it's contagious. Thank you for being so open Jason. And thank you Michael for another great episode.
Jason Alexander another amazing character actor. For me when I first saw the actor on screen was the 90's Disney film Dunsten check's in and Hunchback of Notre Dame where he voiced Hugo.
I'm 26 now, and have only seen Seinfeld random scenes on cable growing up. But now that it's on Netflix, I'm watching the series from the beginning, and it's actually incredible. Love to see the 80's vibe touching my generation now.
Since Michael is a horror fan I was hoping he would talk to Jason about The Burning, a great slasher movie that is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
I watched this hoping he would! No one has been able (or willing) to get him to speak on the record about it. I wonder if J.A. has a list of things an interviewer cannot bring up.
@@THeilman I've never seen him talk about it either. Hopefully he's not embarrassed by it. It's a great movie and it looks like everyone had fun making it.
Such a talented actor, but to me, he will always be George Costanza! Time to break out the Festivus pole 🙌 🎉 Hope everyone has a great week! Looking forward to seeing Sun Spin on Saturday 💙.
Wow... first time I viewed this channel because I saw Jason Alexander was on. I had no idea you would open with 7 minutes of commercial advertising plugs. Otherwise I might have watched more of the show.
Somehow wherever he is, Jason Alexander is always entertaining. If he's in an interview, doing cameos, his own podcast, playing the villain of a Star Trek episode, practicing Jeet Kune Do, he just delivers.
Just starting this, but wanted to say I'll always remember Jason Alexander for the Whitney Houston Cinderella first, haha. It's only now in my adulthood that I'm catching up on Seinfeld. Thanks for the impact you've made, Jason!
Его так интересно слушать, крутой чувак🌸 With love from russian admirer!
Great great episode... Rosy, you never cease to deliver. Keep fighting the good fight. Wishing you and all the other Patreons a Happy Thanksgiving. Many blessings.
Loved Jason, even before I knew he was a star trek fan lol. Even more so now, so many great roles SF, CyE, PP... awesome in Shallow Hal, let alone all his awesome voice work. Loved him in the Think Tank episode of Voyager! Played such a wonderful/morally ambiguous alien. Such an awesome episode, loved that ending.
I loved Seinfeld when i was a kid , it became so much better as i grew up. Ive watched the whole thing through at least a dozen times. I put it on while im working just for background sound.
Seinfeld is my favorite show, my husband too. And now my kids love it. We rewatch it always and love hearing about it and the behind the scene stories. ♥️
Jason Alexander has such a deft touch in interviews that you don't even notice the time slipping away. And so grounded! Maybe it's because he's really a theater guy and not mired in the culture of the west coast movie industry. He's humbly appreciative of the great talents he has worked with, while neither downplaying nor explicitly bringing up his own stellar caliber of talent. He compliments performers whose work he admires without expecting reciprocity, which is an attitude I see often among big names; as if they'd be giving some piece of their ego away with the praise. And I LOVE that when he talks about his wife, she's the same wife no matter what year he's discussing. Their closeness and solid partnership is evident. Michael talks frequently about his difficulty with memorizing lines. Obviously he feels it's a weakness in his job performance, and I wonder if it's a holdover from when he perceived himself as less intelligent or capable back in school. He is less than two years younger than me, which means he was going through school at a time when ADHD was just becoming an official diagnosis and there was very little academic support for these differently wired kids. All the things parents can advocate for the school to provide -- like extra time and isolation for tests, line readers, using friendlier fonts -- came long after he got out of there. Chances are that like my younger brother and many other kids, teachers viewed him as a behavior problem or at best a smart kid who refused to work to his potential. Nothing pisses off a teacher more than when a smart student who does not appear to have learning obstacles fucks around instead of just doing assignments. I wonder also if he has some of the reading cognition challenges that usually accompany ADD/ADHD. My two kids have attention deficit issues; both take fooooreeeever to read anything. My younger one says that the first and last letters in words behave themselves but the ones in the middle jump all over the place. The older one doesn't experience that, but the comprehension takes a lot longer if she reads something than if she hears it out loud. Then there's my nephew, who just can't hang around long enough to read the end of a sentence. My brother couldn't write one. All four of them have IQs over 165. It's not about being smart! At any rate, Michael, if you're still struggling with this, A) let go of the idea that it means you are inferior, and B) take a look at some of the accommodations being made in academia for people with ADD. You might find a few that make your work easier.
Perfect interview all around. M.R. pulls out all the good stuff from his guests, and J.A. is so personable and genuine that I could enjoy more of him and his acting anytime. His timing and inflections are genius.
What an amazing episode. I'm a huge Seinfeld fan, so was so excited to watch this. I have never heard the golf ball monalog story. Such a great get Rosie.
Great show. Id just watched 8 episodes of Seinfeld yesterday. No clue he was going to be interviewed. Seinfeld definitely has a special place in my life. After each episode couldnt wait to get to work next day and compare notes and laugh. Timeless!!
I think Jason looks younger and fresher now than as George in the 90s (I was an avid Seinfeld viewer back in the day, back when I found few American comedies funny). Thank you for this wonderful interview...loving your show!
I don't like your format. 8 minutes of commercials and product pitches before you get into your interview. And then later you have a 10 minute commercial session again. I understand you need sponsors, but people click for the subject. Not commercials. So start with the subject. Mix in commercials later. And not such a long time pitching websites and products. Everyone just fast forwards past your opening to the subject. And because you momotized your channel, we also have to endure the saturation of RU-vid sponsor ads.
What a surprise. I had no idea how much I would enjoy this interview. I agree with his son, I thought he was kind of an asshole on Seinfeld. In real life what a joy!! Thank you Michael, this was great.
Just finished Seinfeld on Netflix for the 2nd time. Yes, I have an addiction. My 50th surprise birthday party had Seinfeld trivia where they challenged anyone of my friends / family to take me on in 20 questions. Nobody beat me. "Coooostanza" is my favorite character on the show. The Summer of George, The Play Now, The World's Collide are my favorite episodes. The Andrea Doria where George tells the tails of Costanza, come on! The old guy didn't have a chance against the "Lord of the Idiots." Well play Jason...well played!
I LOVE You Jason Alexander and all beloveds! GOD bless all beloveds at eternity! Thank You for be with they thank You to God Father and Saint Holy Mommy Mary! 😜🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘😇👑👑👑👑👑👑👑🤴🤴🤴👸🤴🤴🤴💗💗💗💘
It's Art Vandelay! As an actor I'm more like Michael than Jason when it comes to memorizing! It would take me several days at least to memorize a 1-1/2 page monologue.
