It's been mentioned a few times already, but to add further detail... the Infinite Pancakes CE and Medea Lily's Extra Attack are references to her Interlude, where Medea Lily read a cookbook that used very hyperbolic language suggesting that the pancake recipe can quell all conflict. So, to make sure there will be pancakes for everyone, she decides to make an *infinite* pancake stack, by summoning Haagenti of the 72 Demon Gods (and so Chaldea has to beat up a suddenly-arrived Demon God) to use his core as an ingredient to make a pancake stack that infinitely regenerates. As you do.
The thing I love about jason is his relationship with herc hes the great ride or die and the way alcides despite being corrupted is willing to kill his master for disrespecting him is amazing to me and shows how close they were
Best way I've seen Jason described is as: "Fate's answer to Kazuma from Konosuba but even more of a dick at his worst and way more heroic at his best", he even has a tiny witch love interest with dangerous proclivities and strange tastes in hobbies. I really like how Jason and Medea are treated in Fate (post-Atlantis for Jason, at least). Neither have their several sins denied in the game or by the other characters but they also go the distance to show off their virtues as well. Medea gets a lot of focus in FSN side materials like Carnival and such that really characterize her well beyond just her "Witch of Betrayal" reputation like FSN did, and Jason has become a fairly common side character in events and Interludes where he both shows off how much of a douchey shit-stirrer he is, but also his wit and *a bit* of his charisma. He also gets regularly mocked and derided by the other Argonauts in Chaldea whenever he's being a jerk so he doesn't go as unpunished as, say, Gilgamesh would. He's become a pretty beloved character in the fandom in spite of his many flaws. Grade-A Butt Monkey material.

As described in the game, Jason is useless in most situations BUT if he is pushed to the corner he WILL thread that needle for you and pull out a miracle. Essentially, he work well when under stress. And being a massive prick aside, I do like his character development from being just a one dimensional villain that get killed off to being "one of the boys." He still bitch a lot and occasionally get people to want to kill him, but everyone acknowledged him as part of the team which is a great improvement when it comes to Jason. And the guy technically played a big role in saving the world by delivering the world-saving heroes through certain death, so I'll give him some slack. Even Medea would begrudgingly agree Jason is reliable when he have a ship and the water is up his neck. Hence why the Argo crew still listen to him (to an extend) when they are Servants. Jason will look out for number one first, yet he is well aware he can't fight for shit, and thus will protect his crew with his life because they stand between him and the enemy. His crew in return trust Jason to guide them to victory only to save his own skin. It's a symbiotic relationship.

In Fate, Jason and Heracles are best friends because everyone else was scared of Herc or treated him like a freak because of his size and for being the Son of Zeus. Jason was one of the only people who treated him like a normal human being, which meant the world to Herc. You said Jason helping Hera disguised as an old woman cross a river was the only nice thing he did? One myth I read, which happens after he betrayed Medea, goes something like this: Queen Astydameia of Iolcus tried to seduce Peleus, but he refused because he was already married to Antigone of Phthia (this happened way before he met Thetis and had Achilles). After tricking Antigone into killing herself, Astydameia told her husband, King Acastus, that Peleus tried to rape her. Acastus tried to kill Peleus by taking him on a hunting trip, then stealing his sword and abandoning him when they got attacked by marauding Centaurs. However, Peleus escaped when either Chiron or Hermes returned his sword. Later, as a favor to an old friend as fellow Argonauts, Jason helped Peleus invade Iolcus, defeat Acastus and Astydameia’s army, and kill the two.
Jason is great and he's like the number one Heracles fanboy. You can insult Jason and he won't really get defensive, he knows he's a crummy person. But insult Heracles and those hands are rated e for everyone.
@@t.h.e.animeclub And it goes the other way too. Heracles is of the general opinion that nobody who hasn't been there on the Argo has any right to denigrate Jason. I suppose it helps that Jason, even as much as he *admires* Heracles, never treats him as anything other than a fellow human (albeit a very talented human), and Heracles appreciates that after most of his life involved people treating him as something *beyond* human.

Medea is surprisingly adorable and is my personal second favorite girl in Stay Night. First place goes to Medusa, but Medea is a close second. Also NikNak, incorrect on Medea only getting a happy ending in Melty Blood, in both Carnival Phantasm and most especially in Today's Menu for the Emiya Family, Medea is living with Souichiro basically as a newly wed couple, and it's adorably wholesome seeing Medea being a happy housewife with her master. Makes me glad to see Medea so genuinely happy 😊 And I'm gonna assume there will be an updated Smash or Pass list as more servants get added to the list that Sekhei has seen? 😉 Also the magical girl spin off is bad civilization, too much naughty fan service involving 10 year old lolis. 🤦

I dunno, I know Jason brought a lot on himself and really got carried through the journey BUT I do not recall Hason being the one who forced Medea to kill a lot of times. She did it for him, but even the more good natured person would have thought twice about marrying a woman capable of killing her own brother. So everything was bound to end up screwed the moment the gods intervened.
Regarding Medea's Skills that you didn't focus on, there's "High-Speed Divine Words". Basically, she can cast Greater Magecraft as easily as a Single Action spell, with essentially a single word (same effect "High-Speed Incantation" Skill, though I don't believe you covered anyone with it yet), and she uses language of Age of Gods, which is unusable and incomprehensible to modern humans. Fate kind of ignores everything about Medea's story from after she parted ways with Jason. So no mention of her stint in Athens, or visiting Colchis again, or getting a people (Medes) named after her, or marrying Achilles (…that's apparently a thing in some sources), or anything else of note. Just wandering Greece as the rumored Witch of Betrayal and yearning for return to her homeland. Given that Fate's version of Argonauts included Theseus, who was already a king of Athens (at least when Circe describes the episode at 10:03, her telling includes Theseus from that period of his life), it would be hard at this point to incorporate Medea being in Athens, when Theseus first arrived there. Other than that, in Fate settings where Medea doesn't die horribly (so in more comedic and slice-of-life settings), she usually quickly develops an interest in miniature models (from figurines to dioramas) and dressing up people in fancy clothes, with preference for Artoria (in both figurines and dressing up)... yeah, if you remember that scene from UBW, it kind of stems from that. Though Medea in FGO let's Artoria be for the most part. Artoria Lily in her Valentines' scene says that Medea taught her how to cook, but other than that I can't recall much interaction.
Ngl, if you guys check out Atlantis, I'd love to see Sekhie's reactions to how it treats the various servants in that story. Imo the story as a whole is pretty damn great and I love what Nasu did with certain people, making them do things that feel totally in-character while also keeping them entertaining. Also, Smash or Pass? With FATE? Hooo boy, break out the gallons!
I don't remember how well this comes across in the anime versus the visual novel, but UBW does a good job showing just how messed up Medea is by Jason's shit. Kuzuki is an assassin with barely any moral scruple and she still feels the need to go behind his back so he won't become disgusted with how twisted she has become. It works out for them, but man does Medea have a lot of anexiety she's carrying around. As for mini Jason, he made a recent (for NA) return in the Little Big Tengu event alongside mini Cu, mini Ushiwakamaru and mini Benkei. I actually forgot he already had a mini, so that explains a lot as to why he was added to the team. He was good fun there, especially when King Kong Heracles showed up.
As a side note the reason why medea Lilly is used more than regular medea is because the people behind fgo have an internal policy to not use the original 7 servants in their default forms in the main story instead they try to use their alternates like Medusa / Medea lilly and cu caster so the originals mostly only appear in events

Me with Jason: YOU FOKIN DONKEY- Yeah, I've always loved Medea, out of everyone in the Stay Night cast, she's in my top 3 alongside Shirou and Artoria themselves lol XD (Gil is 0. Because he's speacial. >:3) Ironically enough, Medea was actually planned to have a route of her own where Shirou found her instead of Kuzuki. This is where Medea Lily's initial design comes from, as she would have reduced her age to match Shirou's at some point. But she does get happy endings in some of the spin offs, particularly Hollow Ataraxia and Carnival Phantasm, where she and Kuzuki are happily married. X3 Fun fact about the Argon Coin, the Fleece/Sheep IS the Dragon. You didn't see it here, but the actual thing is HUGE. Also, he would've had a larger part in her route, as, while she can't bring out his full might, he apparently has a personality and can manifest around Medea as an "annoying pouty little brother" who especially likes teasing her about being an old hag. And for her 3rd skill, Medea uses the Fleece to regenerate health. How? By hugging/cuddling it to "lift her spirits". ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. X3 And yeah, don't be fooled by her cute demeanor, Medea Lily is OFF HER ROCKERS. Older Medea may have embraced being evil, but at least she's free of Hera/Eros' curse at that point. Lily is still VERY much the girl who will cut up her own brother and toss him out to sea to distract her father. Her making Jason her familiar was NOT consensual, she's tortured him on several other occasions out of pure love, and the pancakes she makes are made out of DEMON PILLARS. It probably says something that Jason is more terrified of this version of her than her Older, STRONGER self. XD On that note, correction about Jason's NP: It actually allows him to summon the ENTIRETY of the Argo, the reason why no one else shows up is because they don't LIKE him. XD WE don't have any control over who shows up, THEY THEMSELVES can choose whether they wanna show or not whenever Jason uses it. The reason Herc, Medea Lily, and Atalanta show up is because Heracles genuinely loves and respects Jason the same way Jason does him, Medea Lily is still obsessed with him, and Atalanta only just wants to protect Medea from Jason. XD (Apparently the more heroic he gets, aka: when his back is against the wall, he garners more respect, and thus would be able to summon more of the Argo.) Yeah, Jason is fun to bully, precisely because he canonically is a better person when he's doing horribly, if things are going well for him, he becomes a borderline villainous douche, but when he's down on his luck, he actually shows REALLY G ood worth as a hero. As a result, he and Older Medea actually get along fairly well, she still hates him, but in a sibling-ish/in-law sort of way, as she basically considers Medea Lily to be her unhinged little sister. X3 . . . Still not getting the rest of the Argo back from the divorce tho. XD
Medea's my fave of the og crew, and I hate that most people think she's weak when she's the opposite. No magic circuits, just words, yet in 1 word she does things mages can only dream of. Girl's even so good at creation her hobbies include making reality marbles that have people(well sentient figurines) living inside them! She's freaking amazing

So we have an older video about it and maybe some more to come but basically NikNak is DM'ing a campaign for me and Vorn, that is just FGO in its entirety that he converted and created from the ground up with help from his Co-DM run off D&D mechanics. We are masters and we get to pull servants and play through both main story chapters and side chapters. We are currently mid-way through part one. It's a ton of fun really, and so I reference it often!
Probably because I am down with a fever, I cried a bit when I learned about Hana no Miyako. The only happy ending for Medea that I know of was in Carnival Phantasm, and it was a comedy. The other is probably Fate cooking anime, but I didn't watch it so I don't know.
