He was definitely a better fighter, I feel like FromSoft makes a lot of their bosses weaker than their lore counterparts for gameplay purposes. Genichiro, Owl, Isshin, Gael, Demon Prince, Soul of Cinder, Nameless King, Gehrman, most of the BB's Great Ones, Artorias, 4 Lords of DS1, Smelter Demon and Sir Alonne come to mind.
The problem is if they were harder, first time we fight them could appear impossible to beat. A very complex move set probably overload most players confusing them. In fact, Isshin is alrealdy exactly that the first time we fight him. More complexity is only good if you already beat him and want more.
@@Loser-jh3tq nah, they just need to recoup their cost and get the returns they want from the project. Edit: what i mean is that they already tested and made surveys with the testers those players from their target demographics if they would want to buy the game and they found the sweet spot where they can probably get the ones suitable for their project's ROI. The whole inner genichiro, father, and isshin is probably their original idea of how these characters would fight and only added later for those wanting more challenge.
@@felipetartas5434 Not to mention, the game is already difficult for a lot of people. The kind of overkill difficulty LMSTR offers isn't for most people, I would say. LMSTR Inner Isshin isn't something I feel most people want in the base game, and even fewer people actually want to go out of their way to play this for themselves. In psychology and sociology classes I've taken during university there's a thing called the "Demand-Control Model of Stress", which basically describes a sweet spot for difficulty and enjoyment. If the game only appeals to the very most hardcore perfectionists then that game isn't going to sell much. Plus, I think a lot of folks don't consider development time to be a big factor. There's a lot of things that go into making a game, the developers can't spend all their time putting LMSTR Isshin in the base game at the cost of everyone else being soulless.

@@ben_patel I like resurrection's Isshin more, but I don't like his lightning preparatory action, he is using self-generation(自體發電) to attack, like pikachu, both mod are cool, I think they can learn from each other.
I really appreciate how dramatically more dangerous Isshin is in this just by modifying the A.I. to put a focus on lots of his faster attacks chained together rather than flowing in and out with large sweeping attacks. After all, he only has to land a few to down you, so why try to kill you in one huge easy to evade attack when a bunch of fast ones will do the job? If you think about it, this is more in line with actual Samurai katana based combat. A large string of quick Slashes and stabs designed to create just one opening and make way for a killing blow.
...yeah if you're comparing this to actual sword martial arts I don't think you actually know what you're talking about. This is absolutely nothing like a real life sword fight. It's usually just a few seconds of one or two blows exchanged from a stance. There's no "large string of quick slashes and stabs". Maybe lay off the anime and samurai movies.

Not necessarily. The reason the developers don’t do this is that the more you parry the faster the posture bar fills up. Meaning the faster the boss dies. You need a balance of slower attacks. Step back etc to allow the boss posture to rise again and not take such a hit. With a mod like this it’s just almost spam r1 and in 2-3 combos the boss is dead due to posture

I don't really like the LMTR Isshin i feel that it is way too anime. My favourite modded Isshin so far is Resurrection Isshin because is like "what if Isshin was more like himself". That said, are you even human? like what kind of reflexes does it takes to do this holy fuck.
Having seen playthroughs of both mods, I definitely feel like LMTSR just makes things so absurd that I can't take it seriously. It feels like something a modder would do just for giggles, like a ComradeSupreme video.
