God damn, modders made the game harder, more awesome, prettier, ADDED PVP, showed us who of the enemies can win in a fight vs another enemy. The community sure did like the hell out of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
And the cool thing is, if from worked on it, it would be balanced, people wouldn't run because you can snipe them in the air with shurikens. Imagine deathblows, various combat art interactions, combos. Holy fuck I need sekiro pvp to become official
I expected a feudal Japanese duel, and to an extent I got that, but it felt like an anime with clearly defined characters with limitations and predefined abilities hashing it out. I love it.
Imagine if they allowed you to mikiri counter other players and also adds the perilous attack symbols every time you pull a magic attack or thrust or sweeps
Seeing Sekiro's speed from an exterior point of view made me realise that all the bosses should have died from epilectic attack way long before getting a single sword hit
@@Rhino1004 Simply "injecting premade code" would quite literally do nothing but make the game completely unplayable/uncompilable. Work like this takes ample amounts of research and time (typically months to years) just to see one positive result, let alone adding entire system changes.
The combat system *seems* to fit it very well, but some changes would need to be made. It's currently built around a few key imbalances that favor the player; for instance, you deal posture damage when deflecting, but enemies don't. Or, for a more noticeable example, you can instantly kill a posture broken enemy, but your own posture breaking is often irrelevant unless you're fighting Owl.
@@juniperrodley9843 enemies do inflict posture damage when we parry. It's just that we won't get stunned even if the meter is full as long as we keep parrying.
I'd love to see the stuff that would happen if the red filter wasn't obscuring all the telegraphs. Also could be cool to have both players be tankier so as to make the fights more like minibosses.
@@JackKnapp2 Probably not, though as this mod advances in quality and popularity some higher skilled players will undoubtedly emerge. I still think increasing player health and posture for PVP would benefit it, though. Maybe a buff for mortal draw, loaded spear, and a few other things to keep them viable. Do you get what I mean?
@@juniperrodley9843 Have you played the mod very much at all? There are a couple good players, myself included. the discord we've set up has tons of discussion on balance and such
Damm the game just so well made, they actually interact with each other that boss fight each other and many mechanics just work like a logic instead of cutscenes like most game.
Wow, modders really made the game into something….even better. Love that purple flame. I may have to purchase this game again on PC. I didn’t know PvP was even an option.
@@JackKnapp2 I’m with you on that, lol. No need to make everyone into super tanks. Although, this is Sekiro…Perhaps the invaders should be given a second chance after their defeat just as Sekiro would if he died to an enemy.
hard, u need deflect accurate enemy's attack or you will die just 1 combo but the connection is so hard, how do you think about 1 player Japanese vs 1 player America? and a important thing, gameplay of Sekiro is not balance with posture and umbrella, how to break posture?
So you’re telling me that Sekiro’s theoretical PVP would be faster than Bloodborne’s PVP... that’s both crazy to comprehend and also impressive on FromSoftware’s part
@@JackKnapp2 Sekiro's PVP is theoretical because there is no _official_ PVP. Theoretically speaking, FromSoftware would have to balance out the prosthetic tools, or add some features to make an official PVP in Sekiro work fairly. But based on this mockup, we can get a general sense as to what Sekiro's PVP would _theoretically_ look like if it was made by FromSoftware themselves
im no Elden Ring shill but no cap Sekiro pvp look no different than ER pvp, people would just spam weapon arts and sht like ER, barely anyone is deflecting like in pve
@@fukunaga-kane well then youre kinda wrong, "spamming weapon arts" ie prosthetics and combat arts is a good way to lose all your emblems and be fucked against a player that can properly deflect. plenty of deflecting happens in this video.
@@JackKnapp2 you don't see how choppy the person you're fighting is? I agree, it looks like it would be hard to tell what's going on. I know it's a mod and the idea is cool, but it looks pretty janky.
@@ceetee110 it is janky, about as janky as souls pvp. and just like souls pvp, i got used to it and dont notice it anymore. very easy to tell whats happening
@@JackKnapp2 you right, you right. It's obvious you can tell what's going on and can still deflect. I just hope they come out with something a little more... current with Elden Ring. Not to be negative though, I'm really excited for it either way. But it is 2021 and people obviously want PVP in From games
The day from software will implement mods made by fans for elden ring, sekiro and the souls i will jizz so hard that i will cover completely the full moon of bloodborne, oh also give us the 60 fps 4k bloodborne patch you okonomiyaky eaters!!!!!
at the time, the dueling etiquette was to run 10 vitality and 1 attack power. with the way the mod worked, this was the most balanced way to duel nowadays you can run any vitality/ap you want
