@@carolinejohansen851 isn't every ending is kinda the matter of opinion of how happy it is? One could consider it to be a happy ending to sacrifice oneself for the sake of ending the apocalypse (especially considering that otherwise you are doomed to live like this and fight hollows forever until you lose the rest of your humanity, we might even call it "release" instead of "sacrifice" with that in mind) in DS1, and so you could consider it a happy ending to try and break the cycle in DS3.

@@nathan-hd7qp But it's never a TRUE happy ending. and even worse: it's a meaningless ending. No matter what you do, the Flame will still burn, until the world ends in ash. Maybe you postponed the apocalypse, but you never stopped it. Sekiro at least ends with some hope in almost all endings, but none of them are exactly "happy" for every character. There's sadness in every ending.

@@nathan-hd7qp to view the end of the age of fire as the apocalypse is somewhat flawed. It's the end of the gods and the beginning of the age of man. Dark souls 3 emphasized the potential gentle nature of the dark unless it was abused and became the abyss. One could easily argue that by burning yourself for all eternity(not very happy imo) you are prolonging a apocalyptic world that needed to die for a new better world to be born. It's all perspective that's why I personally love the souls series

@@UnholyWrath3277 yeah I've always believed the darklord ending is technically the good guy ending. If the age of fire continues how it is eventually nothing will exist, the demons will consume everything and once nothing can perceive the fog - the fog will no longer exist, but if the demons have eaten everyone than everything is the fog, once the fog goes, reality its self goes. There will only be nothing.

Mike Auditore yeah I think that is a big mistake on Fromsoftwares part.. there is still a lot of story to tell with this game.. I would love a glimpse into Isshins younger life as a samurai. Or a Lady Tomoe dlc. Hopefully we at least get a sequel or something..

The Divene Child ending is the the only ending that makes me think we could get a sequel. Now they are like on a journey... To the west... I mean come on FromSoft, you can't tell me you aren't thinking of a second game! Great video as always Vaati. P. S. That ending was my very first ending bevause I was so enamored with the Divine Child and kept going back to check on her.

Kotoro reminds me of the Tom Cullen from the mini series, Stephen King's The Stand. Innocent, yet aware of their disability. Even the voice was similar. Tom Cullen is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke, same guy who voices Patrick Star on Spongebob.

Yeah, seeing as we're not getting a DLC after all, even though FromSoft definitely left the possibility open for there to be one, I'm guessing a prequel will have to suffice... Pity, really, I was looking forward to exploring Usui's Forest, going up against Lady Butterfly in her prime as well as the Mist Raven (who I believe may have either been Owl during his youth, seeing as he pulls some Mist Raven-like vanishing acts during your fight with him at Hirata Estate, or possibly Owl's father, 'cuz it would make sense from a thematic perspective for a bird to father a bird) and getting to fight another 4 phase boss in the shape of The Bounding Monkey of The Sunken Valley (2 life bars) immediately followed by Kingfisher (another 2 lifebars) would've been pretty sweet, too. Not to mention Lady Tomoe. I think we all were really looking forward to crossing blades with the woman who brought Isshin to his knees and taught both Genichirou and the Okami women of the Fountainhead Palace how to swing a sword and call upon the Lightning that bears her name... There's certainly enough content in Sekiro's part for either a DLC or a full on sequel at least.

in " Sekiro Side Story: Hanbei the Undying" it looks at Hanbei's origin, his defense to the villagers of ahsina who are all dead or gone by the events of the game, it looks at the early attempts that that evil doctor took to experiment with the regenerating water as well as a member of the seven spears of ashina who was crippled by Hanbei during the war who is now tasked with using said waters to regain his strength and capture Hanbei for the doctor,

There is actually a second "good" end to the Kotaro questline in which you send him to the merchant guy in Ashina outskirts. I say "good" because he at least ends up alive and believing that he is doing good things.

The graves and corpses of the kids would have suited the video. They are just after the bridge fight, furthest point downhill. There are more locations but this one is more impacting.

Honestly people talk about dlc. But I think that a true sequel to sekiro would be great. There’s so much they could do with the combat and story, i would love to see where it goes

I feel like that the Dragon Cradle ending is the canon one. I know that may be a bit short-sighted but it just feels... Well it is honestly one of the few that could be continued from with any meaningful result. I mean it would be interesting to see Sekiro go to Asia and face the dangers there from the various mythologies of a slowly industrializing world. Would be neat to see FromSoft's version of Jiangshi or even figures like Sun Wukong.

None of them are canon until the series continues, if it ever does. Frankly I think it's pretty fucked up since you're screwing with Kuro's immortal soul without even asking him, and taking away any chance for him to live like a real person. I like to think that Kuro and Water Girl met up later, and then Kuro decided to do it with the next Divine Heir. At least then he has the choice.

Sekiro is in my opinion the best From Software game ever. The lore is amazing, and by the way I love the title "Shadows Cry Twice"

While playing through Sekiro, I couldn't help but constantly think of all the potential that its gameplay (and graphics) provided for a hypothetical future Bloodborne sequel... Like, don't get me wrong, I certainly enjoyed Sekiro, but I enjoyed Bloodborne a whole lot more. The optimal game in my eyes would probably be a Bloodborne game with Sekiro's verticality and combat arts. They would definitely have to cut out the blocking mechanic, though.
