It is great to see this. I was the Audio Director when we shot these first episodes,operating on a shoestring, using a board from a dip TV station with practically no frequency response (8 channels-only 7 worked) Duffy was quite a challenge. Buddy Davis

The location is The Stompin' Ground in Maggie Valley, NC. This is from a show that was produced by/for TNN, hosted by David Holt. The show was Fire on the Mountain. It ran 2, 3, maybe 4 seasons on TNN -85-88 or so. The backdrop is "the World's Largest Quilt, which was produced by a crafter's co-op in Franklin, NC (Maco Crafts) My grandmother and several other relaties and friends worked on the quilt.
Mr. Duffy's voice was high, lonely, and in search of the truth even as a Catamount searched alone high in the mountains of Vermont in search of a doe for each needed the objects of their desire to survive and thrive; and now both are no longer with us and we are all the worse off because of that.
Incredible to think that this lovely song was written by the same husband/wife team (hatch/trent) that also penned the ghastly theme for crap ozzie soap, 'neighbours' : friends,..we live in a very strange world !!!... the incarnation of Seldoms that i was lucky to catch(not easy in england..) had the amazing vocal talents of one Moondi Klien on ld vocs.
Mike and I were friends for nearly 45 years. I immediately tried to send my condolences to his wife, Elise, and two daughters but Mike's email address was already shut down. Does anyone know how to contact any of them? Would it be appropriate to post it here?
