I love the blinds behind you in the video. What color is that? Also are they outside one big blind?

The shades behind you. Did you buy 2 and hang them side by side? I have a large window and I wanted to hang 2 side by side. Do they mount at the top of the window sill? I'm also looking at the woven shades.❤ thank you so much!!

Not until halfway through do they FINALLY get to it. Just move to almost the end so you don’t waste your time

Yeah, it definitely pays to talk to someone. I was dealing with another major blind company, with the same type of business model. I went to their site, shopped and then called about a measuring question. They attacked me with an offsite "sales rep." but he knocked 50% off the website price, without even haggling.

Amazing video, got quotes today from Home Depot that were way higher then we were expecting so going to try out Select! Question for you guys, with the faux wood was there an option for a valance to cover the top of the blinds?

Poor quality control, and they do not stand behind their products. Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

How did you get 28 blinds for $2000?! Im pricing out just 6 windows (1 being super tiny) and I'm already over $3000 from this company.

We ordered a skylight shade. It took 3 months to arrive, and then the next 3 months were spent going back and forth with them continually sending the wrong mounting hardware. I have requested a refund. I would not recommend the company.

That's too funny- i was actually JUST checking out this site today. We just moved into a house that has no blinds either. My question is: we have a few really large (really wide) windows.. what do you do in that case? Do they make blinds that go that wide?

Sorry for all the questions but I have just 2 more if you don't mind 😊 I noticed you didn't get a liner done on the backaide of the wooden blinds and you didn't get the protective part along the edges. Do they still block the blinding sun in those few hours of the day that the sun is blaring into the house without the liner? And how are the edges holding up? Are they fraying at all? Hey all. I know this video was from 3 years ago. How are the blinds holding up? We're looking at the same wood blinds with the 'lift & lock' technology ( ie, they lift without a cord). How are those holding up? Are you having any issues with them? Thanks so much!

We have ordered blinds for 6 windows. One shade had a slight wrinkle, and would not adjust properly. Select blinds was very helpful in trying get it adjusted. That did not work, they replaced it very quickly. We are ordering 3 -8'x 5' windows this week, considering the motorized option. Are you still liking these?

the biggest torture is finding the right colour. has ANYONE matched CC40, Benjamin Moore Cloud White to any of their honeycomb blind lines? The samples for ones that look like they MIGHT work are all out of stock

Are you still happy with these after 4 years? How did they hold up?

Just purchased blinds from them. Unfortunately my daughter got the sheer shades which are motorized. 😢 Will never purchase any blinds from them again. To make a long story short everything went fine. All the measuring etc. They are horrible when it comes to getting help with the remote. No one to talk to who knows what is going on. Just a printout with all you have already done. She paid over $900 for one blind and this remote doesn’t work. For hours we looked at RU-vid for anyone to help. There People Are Bad. Blinds won’t go up or down. Just stuck in the down position.

Thanks for the review. I'm replacing the cheap quality blinds the home builder installed and got quotes from 2 local blind companies near me and they're crazy expensive for what I want. I just want 2 window treatments replaced, 1 is a simple roller blackout shade and the other window, I would like plantation shutters. The company locally quoted me $3500 for both.( not gonna happen) the other was $2800 (again not gonna happen) I called select blinds today and they're sending out samples and quoted me UNDER $1K for both, now all I need is to hire a handyman to install them for me.

Recently purchased blinds for our home, primarily based on this review. It took several months to receive our order, with additional delays. Considering COVID I let that slide However we received one shade that arrived broken. It has been an absolute horrible experience getting that shade replaced. After numerous rude emails and calls to service where they continue to say they've not received video after numerous attempts from different devices. I couldn't even get the same discount to replace and pay for their defective shade myself. The remaining shades are nice and easy to install. But beware you could be stuck like us and pay for shades that arrived broken. To top it off the rude and condescending customer service was the icing on the cake. Super disappointed.

Thanks for the detailed review. You seem to have covered everything. I've already received 'swatches' from Select Blinds and am about to order a couple of top/bottom blinds for our bedroom. A little 'nervous' about the installation since those are the hardest ones to install, according to you, but... going for it!

Thanks for the video and the tip on leaving items in the cart. As far as DIY goes, this is pretty easy. Like clockwork, a sales agent called me NBD on the cart I saved and was able to knock off even more of the price. It was a 40 piece order on their mid-tier roller shades, so ymmv, but it's for sure better than other retail prices.

You know for years I had wanted to order those kinds of shades, when we brought the house about 20 years ago, we did the same thing, had different vendors come to the house and give us the spree!... I was shocked on all the different prices.. so we put it off and I went by mini blinds from Home depot. the windows in the livingroom.. were very high.. I had catherals ceilings.. and the windows ( 4 ) of them were round up on the top. I ended up just ordering them about 25 inches from the top down and leaving that part uncovered... until I had a friend make special curtains that I put on permanantly ... The cost was over 4000. 00 dollars. after that I was never happy... we lived there for a few years and then sold house. since then we have been living in rent places, and well.. never really thought about it again. we have been thinking about buying a house. Since then we have moved to another state .. so this is going to be the final place, since hubby is now retired.. We will definitely keep this info because I want to try again.
