Anyone commenting on Lee. The guy has both ACLs repaired and is competing and dominating at the highest levels of the sport. Some say a D1 wrestling season is the hardest thing an athlete can do. He knows his knees aren’t the same. He feels pain all the time. He is constantly thinking when the knees will fail. With all that in mind, any type of win in incredible.

43:00 If you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Warner loves these one take-down matches, or even 1-0 matches decided by an escape and a ride-out. If you think you can always get the takedown, go out and do it instead of waiting for sudden victory.

Spencer Lee did a good job, but he seemed a little off in the 3rd period, but he may be laying back so he doesn't get hurt, but he didn't look pleased for sure. Good matches, and good Dual, always battles between Iowa and Minnesota. And as an Iowa fan, Warner has always just held on and barely won some of his matches, hopefully, this is a wake-up call.

I thought he looked tired, especially with how slow he was to get up at the bout's conclusion, but no NCAA D-I All-American would gas out in the second period so you may be right.

But at the end of the day, I really have no idea what his plan really is 😂😂 But that look at the end is what got me, it wasn't a look of exhaustion, especially when he did while looking back at the coaches I took it as a look of "I did what you guys asked, but this pisses me right the F off!" 😂😂😂

As someone who had a single acl surgery and competed at a high level. You are never the same. There is always pain. There is always a thought that at any moment your knees will snap. Spencer realizes all of this every moment he steps on the mat.

@@andrewk4247 less frustrated at the moment but more frustrated at what he will never be in the future. Spencer has bigger aspirations for his career. He knows the knees will most likely cause him to miss out on worlds and Olympics because in college he’s feeling it already. So on the mat. While winning matches against ranked opponents, he’s literally hearing the demons inside his head and knees telling him it’s over after this.

Looks like the same Warner. Just got caught trying to stall out the last 3 secs by hanging onto the ankle and let it slip away. Rusty Gray seems like a good call. Close matches can bite you.

1). I’m so glad Real Woods went to Iowa. Just a different level vs what he was at Stanford. Not bad mouthing the local school down the street…but wow, Woods and Iowa are a great fit. 2). Everyone knows Lee is a monster with his tilts. I remember Robles was a monster too, but because of his upper body size. Is Lee’s strength that much stronger vs his opponents? Keeping him under double digits is a miracle…good job to the Mn kid for fighting.

Spencer Lee is so dominate that beating a 2x all American 7-1 is considered vulnerable or weak. That shows how dominate Spencer is. The year David Taylor beat Brandon Hatchet in 2012 and only beat Hatchet 7-1 nobody called him weak 😂

Lee moves so poorly laterally on his feet…maybe the injuries. But a wrestler needs to shoot from space and get him moving. You can tell he’s uncomfortable with space and always seeks to make contact almost like he’s going to tip over. Not sure how coaches don’t notice this.

McKee was only wrestling defensively until the end, he clearly expected to lose and his plan was only to make it through the match. This won’t work when they meet again, lee will have learnt what will and won’t work

Ok I don’t like iowa but every year there are 1 or 2 guys i like last year it was jaydin Austin and Jacob so Jacob is all I like this year and I’m sounding the alarm something is not right every year iowa wrestlers burn out and look beat up by march buts he’s been looking bad for awhile now he has to be hurt

Lee is unstoppable. McGee kept is close , but Lee is going to dominate next month. Then he's going to crush his was to a senior team spot and have the potential to medal every year the way Burroughs has done for so long.

Is there a question if any of the wrestlers are taking any supplements other than vitamin. Perception is 9/10 of the law right. Everyone is wanting to break records or please dad. So many kids are under pressure to perform. Being a veteran as I am it seems obvious that what you see is not true. Again the commentators doing what they do promoting what they think is the greatest. Hiding the truth until that person pass away then suddenly they find out the truth supposedly. Mystery at its best
