Selections from the Desperadoes classic 1966 Album, featuring: Sparrow's "Roslind" Exerpts from the movie "The Sound of Music" "Indian Summer". Arrangements by Beverly Griffith.
This is the first time I am hearing about James 'Bassman' Jackman. The word impressed is not sufficient. Something about Desperadoes that seems to attract a special a unique kind of talent. Right up to today. I cannot put mind finger on it. Maybe its the majesty of the those enchanting hills. Can't say for sure.
The greatest steel orchestra in the world. been a #1 fan since 1966 when the band played at my school (Trinity) in 1966. a free concert was arranged by our principal as he was on the board of witco.when they changed sponsorship from coca-cola to witco. A number of instruments were donated to start the school's steel band still with the coca cola logo. Forever grateful for the music and gesture..
This 1966 open air Double Album recording consisted of 17 diverse selections. That is Dennis "Tash" Ash with the part in his hair; he has been a double second pannist with Desperadoes since 1961.
