Honestly the hardest thing to watch was The Weeknd. The terrible script aside- The Weeknd’s acting doesn’t help the show get any better lmao. He was supposed to be intimidating but his acting was so bad that I couldn’t take him seriously at all

The whole photo shoot for “Jocelyn’s album” is eerily similar to one of Selina’s album covers in which both of them wearing their hospital bands. Just because people say Jocelyn is similar to Britney doesn’t completely erase all the similarities to Selina. Jocelyn is similar to Britney in sense of what both go through in the music industry; Jocelyn is similar to Selina in the sense that the two have similar struggles, there are things Jocelyn’s does that can be tied back to Selina, etc. Let’s not forget that The Weeknd was able to have creative input in the show; he pulled a lot of stuff from Selina and Britney to create Jocelyn. Even the songs Jocelyn sings can easily go in one of Selina’s album. It’s not a coincidence

i wouldn't say the idol is based on Selena, y'all just like everything to be connected lol. I mean I haven't watched it (i'd prefer to listen to his music in peace lol), but from clips I've seen, I would say it highlights the inner working and life of people in the entertainment industry, which Selena is a part of, but y'all making it seem like selena is the ONLY female celebrity to have gone through these experience. Like are y'all really gonna sit here and say the clip of jocelyn doing an Instagram live is a copy of selena whilst tons of female celebrities had done the same. Now if jocelyn had something like lupus is the story or a chronic illness, then i'd get you saying the idol is about selena but in this case i'd have to disagree.
I don’t think people are making it only about Selena. Those who are neutral think it’s a mixture of multiple women including women that The Weeknd has dated (not just Selena). It’s not too far of a reach when The Weeknd does make songs about the girls he’s been with as well

I don't have any interest on watching it. The Weekend needs to get some help. It's obvious that he hasn't gotten over Selena and needs to see a shrink. Hey, it happens. She's moved on from those two fools, The Weekend and Justin, and Thank God. She's never been happier and she's so classy that she doesn't even respond and give the Weekend the attention he wants. I'm so proud of her for that. He truly is trash and I've lost so much respect for that. It's like he's kissing and telling. How would you like your Ex to go around telling and exaggerating your most intimate details about you, telling everyone your fears and insecurities? It's wrong and he knows it.
