They were not close for the next few years, but she obviously knew and met him, and openly supported him. Whats wrong with that? Watch her interviews from 2009, she was even tweeting about his debut song, or a video of her from 2010 where she has a Justin sticker on her phone. But when they met Justin and Selena where together and she got close to Selena and she would tweet stuff about how they were the "dream couple" and perfect for each other.
