I was at this walk of fame ceremony for our queen. And let me tell you guys I have never stood in line so long for anything(not even Black Friday).But it was so worth it in the end I was standing as close to the ceremony as possible and I got great pictures of Suzette,A.B. and decent video of Chris. By the time all this was done I was tired, hungry and exhausted and ready to return to my hotel room. The next day I had my Uber driver take me by Capitol Records because I really wanted to take an up close picture of Selena's star. But I had a great time at this ceremony and it was a day I was proud to be apart of.💕❤💋🌹🎶🍕🥙🌮
As a fan of selena for the past 22 years, I think it’s great they have a statue of her along with a star on the walk of fame... but why did they wait so long. Selena deserved to be recognized way earlier.

I think a lot of it has to do with the nature of their relationship. Selena and Chris were like ROMEO & JULIET. Their relationship was forbidden by her overbearing father, so they had to sneak around to see each other and eventually eloped so that her dad had no choice but to accept them. However, the story ended more like Shakespeare's other tragedy JULIUS CAESAR, when she was (figuratively) stabbed in the back by a trusted friend.

sorry. i love selena. her music, her person and soul. i will not continue to give $ to her brother, father, sister and her EX husband. first, chris has been remarried for years. has 2 kids with another woman and lives in miami, fl. maybe he is divorced now who knows. so why is the EX HUSBAND (which he is...he is not selena's widower) showing up at selena events. you think selena would like or want that. no adult woman would. why the family does this?: they want the fans to think it is "1995" and give them you money. before march 1995 they did little IF nothing to protect selena from yolanda. for months and months they knew yolanda was dirty, a criminal, stole over $50K and they (brother, father, selena) knew yolanda bought a gun in early march and then "returned" it. that is a person you keep seeing. go to a motel and "talk" to her and her gun in her purse. the father did little. chris was a near kid at 24yoa..then he drives selena to the motel the night before what would be her death to "meet" with crazy, criminal yolanda. does this great "husband" go in the motel at 9pm with his wife OR tell his wife to sit her butt in the truck and he will get the fan club documents. NOPE. ol boy chris is chillin in the truck at night...AC and music as his wife walks 20m to the motel room and meets with yolanda. since yolanda saw none of these so-called "great" men of her family were not protecting her. yolanda tells selena the BS that she was raped in mexico and for selena to come alone to the motel the next morning and tells selena not to tell anyone and to come alone. and well all know what happened from that. please folks love selena. wonderful women and person. you can download her music for free, ect. stop giving $ to these folks that did little to protect selena BUT spent the last almost 30yrs sticking cash in their pockets just because they were related to her. "Bs" to the brother, father and ex husband. let selena rest in peace go make your own money or retire on the $ from the past 30 yrs.
