She was the total package. She absolutely knew how to work a stage. A combination of unbelievable talent, charisma, and infectious personality...not to mention her beautiful voice and her dancing. It was all natural. She never took dance or voice lessons.
Unfortunately her sister wasn’t there on the drums she had surgery on her leg. Suzette said she wishes she was there knowing now that that was going to be her last concert.
I'll never get tired of watching her live performances. Some people were simply born to perform. She was a blessing to all of us. I'm glad we are keeping her spirit and memory alive here on RU-vid. She is sorely missed by many of us. Also, "Si una vez" is another beautiful performance from this concert bro. You should check it out some time.
This was 25 years ago!! Last night!! Amazing singing! Dancing! Performance! No way it's been 25 yrs since her passing! Will always be the amazing SELENA!
today is the 25th anniversary of this concert, she broke the attendance record 3 years in a row at the astrodome and 2 of those times she broke her own record
Fun fact: Selena’s sister suzzet Quintanilla actually wasn’t in this performance because she had broken her leg till this day she regrets it because she never knew it was Selena’s last one..🥺
Good reaction!...I’m glad people that don’t understand Spanish still get to see how truly talented she was. You don’t need to understand it to start feeling the energy...lol
Breh! Tell him about it! Selena's like the most adorable woman ever.Whenever I start losing faith in the opposite sex, I just watch a few Selena interviews.Faith instantly restored.Supremely classy, high caliber, with a bubbly personality.Hard to beat!
DirtyFace-Capone I know people like to say dis a lot but Selena and Aaliyah were the closest thing that I done seen to perfection , they had it all bro
@@soundviewspill4792 Aaliyah was dope, but Selena's the dopest IMO.There was something classical about Selena. She could translate to any era.Her transformation from '87-'92 was amazing. She went from a girlish/somewhat bubblegum "Poppy" teen & transformed into this elegant, sophisticated powerhouse of a woman.I think that gets overlooked sometimes. What makes it even more amazing, she still had a childlike innocence about her.On stage, she was fierce.Masterful showmanship.Off the stage, she could be silly & goofy. The dualism in her personality was an interesting mix.Not to discount Aaliyah. She seemed like a total sweetheart, also.Swag spilled out of her pores.Beautiful girl.I just think Selena edges her out when it comes to being a pure artist.Vocals/sjowmanship.Aaliyah was more in that R&B/Pop lane.Had great songs you could groove to, but wasn't the best live performer imo.Other than that, she has a great catalog .Classic track after classic track.RIP to both
Tomorrow marks 25 years since this astrodome performance and March 31st also marks 25 years since she passed. Thank you for listening to your subscribers and keeping Selena's memory alive! Also, you should react to Enamorada De Ti premio lo nuestro 1992 💜💜
Selena is the only Latin and FEMALE artist ever to place 5 consecutive albums is Billboard 200 top Selling albums in the U.S. and UK. This has only been accomplished by Elvis, The Beatles, and Garth Brooks.
I'm colombian, and obviously fan of Selena, but I'm so glad new generations (even when I'm 22, that sounds so boomer jaja) are still open to her music and legacy. She was the full package and her music is TIMELESS. I love this reaction bc you can feel you're enjoying the music and everything around it. What an amazing vid!!!!!
Yeah she is talking everything you said She has a boyfriend who has an old car and he is not very handsome but he cares of her He treats her like a queen and She does not care what her friends think and talk about him Even tho he has an old car he is faithful boyfriend
Lol so funny you mentioned doing chores while listening to this song. My childhood on the weekends consisted of waking up because my mom would be blasting Selena doing all her chores 😂
SELENA does a lot of spins in some of her earlier performances. She almost ran into her husband Chris in one of those spins but she fortunately caught herself then she and he lock eyes and you could see the passion. I was like they really do have a deep connection. Two of my fav couples always and forever. I sure hope you React to some of his music esp from his Resurrection Album he tributed to her. Can't grasp the pain Chris went through in losing her. He certainly went through a dark period in his life. I'm glad he made it through it. Nick Correa the backup singer is from the boy group 'Barrio Boyz', and the other backup singer is Don Sheldon a family friend who passed away from cancer in 2016. Suzette is the sister on the drums but she didn't make it to this performance due to a strained ankle. AB her brother is on guitar along with SELENA'S husband on guitar behind her playing the white guitar. Anyway thanks so much. Stay safe.😍😘🎈
Her dance is generally cumbia dance steps with I think MJ spins (: Which that's just her way of not just showing tribute and admiration for Micheal (: Oh she actually did covers on Micheal Jackson songs as well as her sister Janet amazing covers I cant wait for you too react too those (: But yeah she also really actually enjoys too dance and do those spins in her dance routines and do it absolutely perfect (: One time in a interview video were the interviewer was talking about her as she was performing I kid you not she did a very super fast multiple spin in one direction and then back towards the other direction super fast and right back into her dance routine flawlessly in rhythm without missing a beat or getting dizzy period (: I was mind blowned after that jaw dropped and totally stunned by her incrediable talent (: Hopefully you can also react too her spins as a video (: I think there is a video based on her spins out there on the tube (: You just got look for it and hopefully they well have that jaw dropping spin I mentioned (: Really awesome (: But anyway If you notice she does a lot of side too side two steps forward and back and always and almost all the time side too side (: This routine being very genius on her part because it allows her too go in properly and effortlessly into the spins and out of them and back into the original dance cumbia routine (: She was just So ahead of her time in everything she did (: Just a juganaut of epic endless talent unreal (: RIP. Selena incrediable missed (: I feel just like you I would have given anything too see her and hear her live in person too see her perform (: Would have been so unreal and so epic a moment for me in time too have been able too see her and enjoy her emaculant perfect talent and of course beauty (: I mean if I could sacrifice a billion awful singer's and performers in the world today just too bring back only her it would be worth the damage and price (: Because onky one of her is worth 50 times as much as any of those billions (: Now imagine if there were more of Selena like biological perfect clones of her of you could have a wish and have let say 3 identical Selena s around ad singing and performing (: That's like too much greatness the behold not too mention I probably would have a heart attack from the excitement and over joyment of that coming true (: But where she is Iam sure she knows that we love her and she is always with us in our minds and hearts and soul (:
Her dance moves and elegance can mesmerize both men and women. That's how brightly she shone. A shame her light was extinguished before she truly got a chance to sing more songs in English or more songs in general.
I have the DVD of this whole Astrodome performance she did which was the last one she did before she died. I can’t believe her energy lasted through that whole thing. I am glad that I have that DVD. I didn’t know anything about Selena until after she was killed and I was at work and dreaming of you and I could fall in love came on the radio. I also don’t speak Spanish but I can sing all of her songs. I tried to find the English version of what Bidi Bidi Bom Bom meant until I finally found out it was made up as of the sound of a heartbeat. I love that song. I love your reactions to Selena. I hope you do more.
I believe she was destined to be his female counterpart. Not in the sense of being a female Elvis but in the sense of occupying that level of status as a female vocalist and performer. Only I think she would’ve been even bigger than Elvis himself! No disrespect to my King Elvis either.
With all the shit going on in the world.. sometimes I have to go back to the things that make me happy.. this is one of them. Thanks again for putting a smile on my face.
You should she transition from "Bidi Bidi" to "Si Una Vez" to "El Chico" because she goes from being happy and dancing to being mad to being happy again and full of energy and singing really fast in "El Chico". It's awesome it's from the Astrodome in 95.
Hey Jack. Hope to see you React to some of her husband's music.. Check out Chris Perez Resurrection Album he dedicated to SELENA. He got some cool stuff on it. I think you will like it.
Her main drummer is her sister but she wasn’t able to play in the concert since she had messed up her leg from I forgot what exactly so she had to sit out on this one /:
React to Selena and The Barrio Boys song Donde Qiera Que Estes. Theres 2 videos one in english and one in spanish. Also the latin backup singer/dancer is her cousin and hes in the Group Barrio Boys
Jack I appreciate your reaction to Selena. I am from Texas and love her. Please react to Dimash Kudaibergen on the Gloria Wu's channel. It has English subs.
