"Selena" The Movie Highlights/Tribute 

In my opinion......The Quintanilla family is inspiring. They worked hard and still respected their culture and acknowledging they were Americans as well. I love how they were so close and were so passionate about their talents. One of the rare families I find inspiring. Selena was truly amazing.....she had it all.

I really do believe fate brought Chris into her life for a reason.

I love how jlo and jon seda act and portray selena and chris. I miss selena but i will always have treasure her music and everything aboutbwhen i saw her in tv she was my idol and all the latinas little girls around the world. I remember when I was young i had a huge crush on chris and then i had a huge crush on chris and jon lolol I was young.. Selena and chris are or were an epic item..

The end of the movie where they show different footages of her makes me cry everytime. So beautiful and talented.

I used to hear "Dreaming of you" all the time on the radio when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I knew nothing about the artist. Fast forward to about 9 or 10 years old. This movie used to play on TNT or TBS. I'd watch it. Years later,I bought the one disk DVD at target and watched it. Selena's story is both happy and tragic.

She is a great inspiration to all women. Her beauty amazes me . The love their family shows can be felt . The hospital scene brings tears to my eyes it never fails. I love you Selena .

We miss you Selena a real shame that she's not here anymore she should still be here! 1971-1995

I have to agree with sissy, the family helped make most of the movie. Jennifer spent countless of hours with Suzette and the rest of the family really trying to capture Selena and even they themselves said she did a fabulous job, so fabulous that sometimes they got confused because they were so similar and watching JLO portray Selena was like actually seeing their sister/daughter.

She should still be here. She looks like she had such a beautiful soul and heart. We need more people like that in this world. Rip selena

every time I watch Selena I cry it was so sad and she was becoming a star and she just got married and wanted kids and form a family

My favorite part of this Selena tribute is when Chris was welcomed to the family, the smile on JLO's face was so happy and joyful, I watched that part over and over again she was so happy that her father now approved Chris.

My brother and I watched this movie on opening weekend on March 21, 1997 at a movie theater in Phoenix, AZ but it was sold out. And then we went to another movie theater on the north side of town and it was so packed inside, that some people had to sit in the aisles inside the auditorium just to watch it.

I've seen this movie soooo many times. I remember we were supposed to see it in theaters, but it was sold out. This was the first time though I cried for her loss. Such a shame, but you live in many of our hearts Selena, gone, but not forgotten!

The first second of this video reminded me of the first time I watched this movie. I was on a 15 hour flight, and bored out of my f***ing mind. I was flying from Israel to the United States. The entire trip to Israel I was thinking non stop about Selena. I listened to her, and I needed to watch the movie. 6 weeks earlier, I went to Israel and they had the movie on the plane, but my bff was sitting next to me and I didn’t want her to see the movie (idk why I just was insecure). The flight back, she was sitting next to me again. I didn’t care. I turned on the small tv and searched Selena. When I saw that it was there, I started screaming quietly. It was 1am. I grabbed my earbuds and started watching it. I tried not to cry. When the movie was over, I felt satisfied. I watched it 4 more times until I got bored. My bff watched it too but I told her that if she wouldn’t watch it, I would let her play games on my iPad. I enjoyed the movie but haven’t seen it since. I’m definitely watching it in November bc *cough* SOMEONE NAMED MY MOM promised. So yeah.

Selena had a pretty smile.

I lived in Houston when her tragic death happened. I`m not Hispanic so my knowledge of her was limited but I`m sure she would have been a most wonderful super star if she had lived. In the years since her death, I have fallen in love with Selena. It was her style, her kindness, her respect for everyone. She was humble, and had a down to Earth attitude. My pain is like the pain of her most loyal fans at the time of her death. We love you Selena. RIP angel.

Sadly, I never really knew who Selena was until she was murdered. She was another great talent whose life was cut way too short.

Selena’s death was the most tragic death outside of my family that has ever happened to me. If I was my age when she died I’d feel like I’d lost my sister. It hurts so bad bc i know nothing could have prevented it bc no one knew. If it wasn’t that day it could’ve been later.

Selena got to see how much she was loved. Sold out seats in Houston, Texas Astrodome. Sorry her life was taken the next month. Rest In Peace, Selena. Gone, but never forgotten. ❤️

Wow. She loved and enjoyed all the people in her life; her husband, Mom, Dad, sis, brother, fans, etc. Life has no guarantees bc I believe that God made it so so that we would look to Him as our only Guarantor. Rip angel💝

I love this movie and I watch it a lot. When the beginning music plays I just feel lost. Selena as a little girl working so hard with her family to get to the top. So many dreams and yolanda took it from everyone. I love u selena I will see u one day. I love all her family and I wish we had u here and not memories. Never forgotton selena always in our hearts.

No matter how many times i watch this movie i cry. The end killed me and I'm not one for getting emotional. The cast i believe gave selena justice. Jlo was beyond amazing and jon seda is freakin hot.

I thought that I’ve seen just about every Selena video out there. But this tribute/contribution is absolutely unequivocal. I was moved to tears. Very, very well job done. I honestly feel that you have done the indescribably beautiful memory of Selena justice.Thank you!

Omg dude I was just fine and then the ending scene made me start crying. I can't help it. That little montage with "Dreaming of You" playing always hits me hard. I never even got to meet her and I was only 3 or 4 when she died but I miss her so much.

Everyone should really stop hating on JLO. She did great. She was selected out of probably 100s of 1000s of actresses and got this. Also look at it this way, Chris, Marcela, Abraham, AB, and Suzette were all there to coach their characters. JLO had to follow notes based on these people as she did not have the real Selena. If she did this movie wouldn't need to happen.

Selena is one of my biggest heroes and inspirations, having motivated and inspired me to pursue my dreams and goals. I served in the US Army for 3 years (2009-2012). Needless to say, there were several people who didn't want me to join because they would worry and didn't want anything to happen, blah blah blah. But then again, you don't have to be in the military for something bad to happen. We all know what happened to Selena, and she wasn't in the military. 😠 I'll always look up to her. 🌹

And Yolanda only got 30 years in jail. She should be in there for life. R.I.P. Selena :(

I watched this movie in Spanish class and we just finished it and I tried so hard not to cry but I did. Everyone was basically but I’m such a huge fan of Selena I try not to think about her death. As soon as I saw Yolanda my heart was beating so fast bc I was just angry and sad
