@@noybs9452 In my opinion the movie was much better, they put more effort into actually portraying Selena and in her honor. Yes, they may have included small moments like this, but honestly the movie put more effort into casting the right actors, the wigs, the singing, Jlo (the actor playing Selena in the movie) literally SLEPT in Selena’s bed. On stage she did the exact hand movements, jaw movements and much more. Lol sorry if this long paragraph is not what you expected but then again this is just my opinion no hate to your or your opinion because everyone is entitled to theirs.

@@user-si7jj3bd7t opinions aren't facts. I'm entitled to mine and I disagree. Just because she slept in Selenas childhood bed didn't make JLo the expert. In my opinion the miniseries had far more content regarding Selenas life and her interpersonal relationships with band and family members that went far beyond traveling on big bertha. I have been a fan of Selena's from the start and as a first gen fan I loved the insight into such things as the influence behind specific songs that were written for Selena y Los Dinos to record. Let me ask you this. Did we find out that Ricky wrote No Ma Queda Mas, in the movie, and who that song was about? No. In fact Pete and Ricky weren't even noticed in the movie. The fact some actress spent the most time with the Quintanilla family doesn't matter. JLo did a "good" performance but the movie seemed rushed in comparison and the content was weak. The Miniseries is packed full of information. Christian Seratos also did a good job playing Selena. Maybe we can agree on the fact that no one on this earth can ever replace the real Selena.

Watching the connection Selena made and the way she changed the tone and her mannerisms when she had the realization and SANG her ass off to honor Ricki's heartbreak, that scene was EVERYTHING! It's brings me chills and so much emotion. No Me Queda Mas is one of my favorite songs ever and learning the back story, it made sense. It's raw and relatable. Awesome job to the acting cast, the director, everyone involved!

@@mayela.bonita I mean could it have been better? Sure. All actors and actresses can be and do better regardless of who played Selena or the rest of the cast. Could it have been a little less cringy? Sure. But it's Netflix. What do ya'll expect? This series was good. I say bravo to the way the characters were brought to the table. Did she look like Selena? No. But the point was to get her personality out there and who she was and her story. Not what she looked like, danced like, or sang like. I think Cristian did amazing for playing Selena as the kind and warm hearted woman she was. That's what was important. If what Christian looked and danced like mattered to you then I don't think you're a true Selena fan.🤷🏻‍♀️

As soon ricky’s tear fell my heart just broke for him. I knew how much he loves suzy since he first saw her. Everytime I knew and to see Selena just sing out HIS emotions is just amazing. She caught on so fast and she sang and she sang to tell everyone how he felt and that was just so amazing. Ugh selena. If only you were here now to see what we have done for you. Hadn't seen that series. I love her as Rosita Espinosa in TWD and she gave a stellar performance of Selena. I've been a fan of Selenas since the early 1990s. It's wonderful to see a Mexican American actress play the part and be so successful. She is doing fantastic in her career.

This clip... I'M CRYING! Selena is always in our thoughts. Such a beautiful person can never be forgotten in our hearts. I was just in 5th grade when Selena passed away and it still makes me cry to think about it. I loved this series and cry literally on every episode! I love learning more about Selena and the band! damn this song has always given me goosebumps ever since I could understand the lyrics, and now, it takes on a whole different level knowing that Ricky wrote that song about Suzette but also that the song itself is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. It's so hard not to think of Selena with this song, but damn Ricky went through some personal pain and poured his heart out for it, Selena recording it is what made the song have such a beautiful impact. Homeboy that played Ricky did a bomb ass job..He embodied tf out of him..hell all of them played tf out of their roles even the lady that played the mom..and btw the lady that played the mom is the same lady that was shopping w Selena in the movie when they went to the mall. Thank you for sharing on this series all of those beautiful stories that the movie did not include and makes this series WAY MORE PERSONAL in regards to some flaws that Selena had (Latina late time :) and those special moments that made their foundation as a family and music brand. I would like to know what Ricky now thinks of these series. ♥ Bendiciones to all the cast.

Honestly Ricky displayed better acting skills in that tiny part than all the others combined. No other scene touched me the way his did.

Seeing this Netflix series made the pain of losing Selena even more painful knowing she has been been gone longer than she lived . Also all the dreams she had .... tomorrow is not promised . Beautifully made and job well done to all .
