Here is my Selenicereus grandiflorus other name Queen Of The Night as the name states it only flowers at night. I've had this plant for a number of years and it flowered for the first time last year, but i missed out as i didn't know that it only flowered at night and it only had one flower bud . This time i'm ready for her and too catch her in all her glory when she blooms . So stay tune for the next episode when we catch her in flowering.

Thanks for the interesting video, and the plant is beautiful, but your species looks more like Selenicereus hamatus.

Soy Maruja de Buin Chile son las23,15hrs.y abrio el octavo cactus reina de la noche,a 3 mts del suelo,la mata a crecido mucho,del arbol donde la afirme la fui guiando por unos cables mide como 5mts,preciosa.

Este cactus no es común casi nadie lo tiene, yo tengo una mata era de mi abuelita yo tengo 80 años la conocemos como reina de la noche dura como 10 minutos la flor hermosa es igual que la flor de los cactus corrientes pero más grande me llega hasta el codo el esque😅 es hermosa.

Hola María. Esa planta debe tener más de 80 años y debe verse magnífica y cuando florezca sería espectacular por la noche. Acabo de tener la mía hace unas semanas, ya que se abrió a las 8 pm y debido a que estaba sobre el suelo, la flor permaneció abierta hasta las 7 am, pero se fue cerrando lentamente. Sería genial ver alguna foto del Selinecerus. Grandiflorus Reina de la Noche y en qué está creciendo. Si te gusta compartir tus fotos en Reddit, ya que soy el creador de r/cactus y suculentas :)

If it's rooting a the base, just cut it where it is still green and leave it heal over and place it in a shady spot. Once it has callus over then you can plant it in some moist soil, but don't water it for a few week. Give it time to produce roots. Hope this helps you.
