The way Maria was talking about thanking your anxiety for trying to protect you is actually a method my PTSD therapist taught me. Trigger responses are apart of our brain and body’s way of protecting us. Even though they’re causing us harm, thanking your body and letting it know it’s safe actually super helps alleviate it.

Love and solidarity from Canada ❤ together we will get through this and be stronger on the other side. I also suffer from anxiety and panic disorder - and there's a breathing technique that i learned in therapy i'd like to share ❤ its called cardiac coherence - you take a deep breath, trying to fill your lungs from the bottom up, as if you were trying to push the bottom of your lungs downward - and hold for a few seconds, then slowly exhale. It sends a message to your brain to sloe your heart rate which helps you calm down. I hope it helps! It's been doing wonders for my anxiety through all this. Hang in there, wash your hands, stay home and breathe love. You'll be okay ❤ ❤

@@netan5847 I comment on them because i love watching their videos and i love being a part of the community. Before having a channel I watched ASMR for 6 or more years... so now that I have a channel why does it automatically mean I cant comment under their videos according to you? Makes no sense. I genuinely love the channels and videos that I comment under and if that offends you then that's not my problem honestly ❤ And I have never once asked for subscribers or anything like that... I usually compliment the videos I watch so this literally makes no sense lol. I personally definitely wouldnt get offended by someone else commenting on a video? Lmao... and there TONS of channels who comment on all the popular channels. And I dont only comment or watch popular channels. I spend TONS of time supporting super small channels and even post them and promote them on my own platform. So I just dont get why I would be targeted for something when I just genuinely love being a part of this amazing community.

Damn.. that must be hard.. i'm from the Netherlands and even just seeing the images from italy and seeing the numbers of italy and my country being compared to eachother scares me and it's all taking a toll on my mentalhealth. I can't imagine really knowing people living in the middle of that horrible situation in italy. I'm wishing you strenght and peace of mind and in your heart. @@cecilyerker awesome...I find personally the act of changing the color each week is like symbolically turning over a new page each week...especially if it was a particularly stressful one. Not only that.... I have learned to be brave with new colors and styles of nail polish. I experiment w color....layering different nail polishes as well to create a whole other look. I would do this too but also because I was trying to prevent myself from biting my nails which I always did because I was anxious! I would look at my nails and think “I don’t want to ruin these; I must be stressed” and then I would find something else to do :)

I’m class of 2020 and my state just closed all schools for the rest of the year. So there’s no prom or graduation ceremony that we all worked so hard for and looked forward to. And ik it’s selfish when so many other people are suffering but it makes me so incredibly sad. So I am so grateful that you uploaded this video today. My husband is getting his Ph.D this June. He quit his previous job at 28 to pursue his dream of having Ph.D and working in an academic field. It took us whole family 5 years. My husband, our son, our baby girl in my belly and I had been looking forward to attending commencement and now it’s not happening. We understand the emergency and we’re staying home but it’s just so sad.

I like these videos where Maria shows her vulnerable side. It makes her more relatable. She walks the fine line between having a healing, soothing presence and at the same time she's vulnerable and talks about her anxiety. And she walks it well.

Yes i live in the USA and even though we aren’t on lockdown, my state (Virginia) is closing literally everything. We had a couple cases and schools started closing around us so we are like cool, might not have school for a couple of weeks no biggie. Then we got the call that school was closed for two weeks as more cases popped up. Then around last Wednesday we got the call that school was closed until April 13th. Then today we found out that school was closed for the rest of the school year... and it’s not even peak virus yet. 222 cases were confirmed 2 days ago and the 7th death happened today. The cases keep seeming to multiply. Luckily for me I live in a small town in like to middle of nowhere with very little people. But we still have to go shopping and stuff in the nearby cities/ towns. So far there are no cases in my county but the ones around mine have some. My mom works in the city and it’s like a government job (I think) so she can’t really stay and work from home. My dad just checks the stock market and does investment, but right now is not a good time. Stay safe ❤️

Hi from Prague to my favourite country! Same situation, second week.But if you think of it, we still have a lot - the water is running, electricity is working, the shops are not so empty yet.We are alllowed short walks in the parks with facemasks

It’s okay to be afraid or worried yourself; like the great ASMR Mommy worried for her kids... it’s truly uplifting to know how much you care. I’m literally in a spiral I was in a good place and now because of coronavirus I gained 6 pounds, had the worst period (like 8 days HEAVY), because of that my acne hit me like a boomerang and I haven’t shaven in like 2 weeks 🐋 I am starting tomorrow eating clean, more water, little exercise and SHAVING 😉 Wish me luck 😘

Thank you! As of today I am okay. I’m healthy and I am still working. My tire is flat but I’m blessed to have the money to be able to get it fixed, thanks to my job allowing me to continue working. It is scary to be around people, especially having an auto immune disease, but I’m okay today. Today.. I am okay 💜

Oh you don’t understand how badly I needed a new video. Having everything I looked forward to cancelled. My first vacation in 10 years this summer about to be cancelled. The most important exam of my life now cancelled. Nothing is going right and then hearing about friends and family that are sick. Not being able to leave the house, things not looking good rn 🥺🥺. Thanks for the video, your videos make me forget about all the issues in life.

I was a recluse for 8 years 😞 I would busy myself & assessed myself, it worked & I used to open the window sit on a chair & feel the sun 🌞😊 it kept me going until I was ready to socialise back into society again... so to self isolate again will be easier for me than others, my tip would be maybe to see it as cleansing yourself & your surroundings 😉😌 love from England 🇬🇧💖xxx everybody stay safe 💓

Such wonderful advice that once you’ve done “the spin” - felt the anxiety, obsessed over the information - to stop yourself - recognize that you’ve already done that - and you don’t need to go back there. That is such a simple but excellent reminder. Maria gives advice the way an excellent therapist would - but without any training in the field. Just a natural ability and a natural empathy and wisdom. Such a gift. 🤍

Perfect advice. Self-care and self-management is so important. We can all empower ourselves to deal with whatever comes our way, we don't need to over-react or spiral. Managing our own mental health is always important. There are so many strategies and techniques. The card reading gave me chills and feels too
