5 basic pressure points in the face and neck, that are easy to find and use for self defense. These are easy to learn and implement right away.
Kyoshi Dave Herman of Five Elements Tactical Training, and Big Rich of BRW Crafting, demonstrate how to use some simple pressure points to help you effectively defend yourself and get away from an attacker.
These techniques are common in martial arts, law enforcement and military defensive tactics, because they work, more times than not. Simple yet effective. Practice them gently, and at your own risk.

@@christhetrianglechok Its just an extra tool someone can use to defend themselves. As the teacher said here, it doesnt work on everyone. But having that tool just increases ones chances of survival and it will give them at least a chance to run or delay the attacker long enough for someone else to come and help. :)

This is great information for a woman in self defense. My ex did a move on me. I Insisted he show me something. Black belt in some martial art. He pinched a nerve between my neck and shoulder and my body turned to jello. I literally fell to my knees and disabled for several minutes. It was like I had no skeleton system. I wish I had known this move years before I met him and attacked but made my way out fighting. Martial arts are about control. We live in a crazy world.

Always makes me smile, my grandad bless his heart and has been gone 20 years or so now always used to pull me to one side and show me what he learnt in the war and techniques to in his words, sort anybody out at school who might have wanted an issue with me and promised me all of them would help me get out of situations or help situations and they sure as hell would have and did. I am telling you even in his last year he could drop any of us with one hand, just his finger and thumb move on our wrist or knee would drop us and have us do anything he said, but he knew a hell of a lot more than that and was a ww2 commando and self defense type training officer, I really have forgotten the exact names of the different positions but I know he went on to do all of this much later on as well even long after anything to do with the war. He taught me so much, even knock out moves with just 3 points at different times. I would practise them with my brother and then we would show him on the next saturday when he would come visit us and our parents.

Excellent video, i used all of as well as many others when fighting in the bars when I was a young man. Except I usually used my fist to hit them, using my knuckle, to hit the pressure points. To anyone who wants to used them, do like the man explained. I trained to do what I did, back then. And remember he's right, on some people it won't work. I was one of those people. Mainly because I hired someone to hit the pressure points, to desensitize them. Don't think they are a get out jail free card. Always have something to follow up with, and don't stop, until you have a chance to escape. Or till the other person is on the ground not moving.

@@FiveElementsTacticaljust a quick question. Can you show this work on someone who doesn't comply? As in, can you show it work in an actual physical altercation or fight? If you grab someone by the jaw, why are you thinking they're not going to instantly swing on you since your wide open for a hook from either side? I don't really get this stuff... I mean, you're welcome to prove me wrong and show a video of it working outside of a demo. I just don't think you can. If you can, I'll hang up my muay thai gloves right now and train this. Until then, no offense, it's a couple fat guys who think they know some super secret moves and don't have to do the hard training requires to be a good fighter. You know what's better than pressure points? Running a few miles a day because 90% of fights are decided by who's cardio is better. Looking at you, no offense, are somewhere near the bottom. Bro, you're right on the line of being obese ffs...

I personally like the ‘c-clamp’ grab on the neck that puts your thumb in the lower jaw pressure point, your middle finger hooked into the point behind the jaw and the index finger in the facial muscle in the jaw hinge. I had never tried any pressure points before because I always thought they would be useless in most situations as fine motor skills to hit a small target could not be relied upon once an adrenaline dump starts and no one is going to just stand there while you poke them into submission. My opinion was changed when we had a guest Krav Maga trainer that was also a correctional officer, teach a class on ‘domestic defense situations’ normal people might find themselves in such as abusive partner or ‘that buddy’ who likes to get physical when they’ve had a few too many. The instructor, who was not very physically imposing, was very quick to act in each situation and had some really nasty control and compliance techniques in his toolbox and I was amazed firsthand, at how much pain he could inflict with a just a thumb and how easily he could control a much larger opponent with very little effort. These techniques can be used defensively to take the fight out of someone when things are up close and personal where maybe someone is on top of you trying to restrain your movement and they are very effective without causing any lasting harm that might get you sued or arrested in the light of day after you have had to defend yourself or control a bad situation. One of the students in the class was an attorney who had advised clients in defensive use of force cases such as a bar fight or road rage where an injured party attempted to sue their intended victim over an injury sustained in some altercation or they were facing criminal charges because they couldn’t prove they were not the aggressor. Pictures of black eyes and busted lips are always made to look as bad as possible to a judge or jury but having to say ‘they poked me and it hurt’ in open court would keep many of these tough guys from taking it any further. 😂Good things to have in your repertoire. Great tutorial, sub’d!

Can you show a practical application of this? As in, a video where someone is non compliant and trying to hurt you. All I can find when searching are demos. If it's important to know for martial arts. Someone should be able to show it working in martial combat. Let me know if you can find anything.

Zygomaticus bone in the front of the face and the pocketing around the area of the malheur bone as well radial nerve in the side of the neck or the actual 'Vulcan pinch 🤪 the pyramidalis fauci or the nasal cavity very cool basic instruction on the chokehold I'm more inclined to grabbing the wrist and backing out of it and putting the person in a rear arm lock all in the same move because then you have the person in front of you and at more of a controllable advantage I do like your teaching very basic and fundamental and very easy for just about anybody to learn keep up the good work please 🙏❤️‍🔥 Namaste'
