Geeked I prefer Ghost on a Synology NAS... i ve been using WP almost 3 years and definetly, GHOSt is sooooo FAST... but more limited.

@@selfhosted Can you explaing ports on portainer, example i running nginx right know on a pi this is were i got it working, i also have a pi whit open media vault and container running like 10 containers i install nginx in this pi and have issues like nginx show healthy not running i know it have something to do whit the ports i think i hope i made some seens. thanks

Question about hosting..I have a VMware network sim running on my home computer which I would like to access remotely. I access it from an static IP in chrome and mess around with it for studying. I've purchased a domain name with SSL and I can't figure out how to link my local static IP to a page on my website. Is this even possible?

when using it on my VPS it won't work it keeps working on the direct IP but it won't work when redirecting to that IP, when I use the containers hostname instead of the IP address it gives me a 502 error

Hi I need to self host my own website I’m currently with site ground it’s a non-WordPress site and they want 300 to renew for a year. Looking for a guide running all the same packages that a online web host would have, Apache, PHP, MySQL etc. etc. any ideas on how to set something like this up? And manage with a control panel?? Hi sir , thanks for this tutorial , I currently own a domain , a few proxies and I downloaded a copy of my existing website built from godaddy , using httrack website copier . I would like to ask you if please could make a tutorial about how to selfhost a clone of it using same domain, maybe unpublishing it from godaddy .

Hi, I found your tutorial very interesting. I face a situation here.. I also use porkbun, however, my ISP will rotate IPs when I reboot my router or maybe under other circumstances. How do you deal with Porkbun and selfhosting home services and several subdomains? Thanks

How am I sopposed to port forward my IPV4 address when using a windows 10 virtual box for ubuntu. I tried getting my IPV4 but it keep getting rejected "Invalid Data. Internal IP Address is not in LAN!"

Worked it out: put this in the terminal line by line: docker ps docker exec -t container_name bash sed -i '/^# END WordPress.*/i php_value upload_max_filesize 256M php_value post_max_size 256M' .htaccess

OMV5 uses port 80 for Web GUI. If I follow your tutorial will the Web GUI on port 80 stop working? Do I need to change the Web GUI port or can it also stay at 80? Thanks 🙏

I tried to install nginx on the portainer and it says that installation was successfully with green button. However the port is different and the nginx landing page does not have anywhere for me to sign in at. It just says that the nginx was install properly and further configuration is needed. I am sign up with cloud flare too. What do I do now..?

sign into NPM on port 81. The main IP will give you that nginx welcome page.

How did your home computer know to use nginx as the DNS server?

SlykeThePhoxenix That’s why I had to forward the ports 80 and 443 to the nginx host on my router. The router forwards the request there then nginx routes all the rest of the traffic based on the ports used in our services. Pretty neat.
