Nice work you two 👍🏻 We’ll doing one as well in a couple of weeks, the loft is full!! Blows my mind how people come to a boot sale and DONT bring a bag with them when they’re buying!!
I am a seller and I offer bags which are on a roll so I tear them off. White bags with handles, perfect for clothes etc I get them from Aldi 40 small bags for £1.55
I didy first carboot yesterday to get rid of older stock made £50 which is more than I expected 👍 just started making RU-vid videos about my full time job reselling on depop 🙌
You have done brilliant. Same as me in Sussex. £150 over the float this weekend . All depends the time of year and the character of people. who want to buy... Good one this weekend. .. Keep on going.
Great video you seem to be a really happy couple and just watching this has inspired me and my partner to go back to selling as we used to do car boots and buying and selling in the past so thanks again for the upload as we will be looking to get back into car boots if you don't mind me asking we're about in the UK was this car boot thanks
The problem with carboots is either everyone wants something for nothing and they mess you around, or haggle you down... if you are buying, it’s hard to find a stall that’s selling to make space (and will allow haggling) rather than selling for profit so either way you can’t win
Hi Nic, I heard you mention a website to look up valuable cards, but I forgot. Could you please let us know which website we can look up? I got various topps match attax cards etc.
Enjoyed your video, thanks. How did you manage to film without the people noticing or didn't they mind ? Also what Phone or camera did you use ? Many thanks keep up the good work.
amzn.to/2KOMhwz that is a link to the one I use - I like it because it is so small and inconspicuous, I have also made lots of similar video using my Iphone
This is so interesting. Car boots are like our flea markets. Everything is so reasonably priced. You and your wife are very polite. Are carboots on weekends only? Are you charged a fee for use of that space? Wish I could visit the Uk one day. Love the history ❤️
Sofia dober you would love the UK if you’re a fan of History?... there’s probably more history than anywhere else in the world? But Car Boot Sales over here are usually on a Sunday morning....and very early in the morning too lol. They start around 6 or 7am, and you have to be early to get the best stuff. And if you want to go to sell your stuff, you usually have to pay on the gate to be a seller and get a pitch. They’re not too expensive though... usually around £5 to £10 GBP for a car pitch. At the end of the video, Nic said they paid £11 for the pitch in this where they were... so that’s about $14 USD
Thanks Nic & Andrea, it was really interesting to see selling from the flip side; it reminds me of what we would call 'garage sales'/yard sales' or the Flea Market, although your prices are far more reasonable than a lot of the pricing here. Looked super busy, well done!
If you are working out your sales total only (gross), you add back in your bay fee, not substract it. Yes it is an expense and needs to be subtracted if you're working out your net takings after expenses. Perhaps you were. Sorry I'm new to your channel so forgive me if I missed something. Love you guys. What a team. Thank you. I have some serious catching up to. Looking forward to watching all of your videos
I do this quite often through the year to clear stuff. Alway give my daughter her own stuff to sell as well. The last one I done we made about £195. Still clearing stuff and need to do at least two more at this point. I do enjoy it though. Especially on a nice day. For 3 hours work to get £180 for dead stock is great👍👍👍😜😜😜
Laughing at Nic...Its brand new! We do a car boot sale once a year to clear sticky stock. Whatever we come back home with I put on FB or Shpock as a mixed lot just to get rid which usually sells very quickly.
well done guys, thats a good price for three hours work, wow you sold stuff cheap fair play to you, i am surprised they wernt emptying your car for you. get an electric vest and gloves mate they are amazing for cold mornings if selling or buying.
Electric vest sounds great - Yeah we always sell cheap, we only do a few bootsales a year and the object is always to get rid of as much as possible, if you price cheap, people buy a lot and it clears it quick :)
I can only guess the dude paid for the pink Cadillac and we didn’t just witness him knickin it! I love a boot sale, preferably selling. Making money for old junk is awesome and meeting life’s weird and wonderful characters is great too!
Have done car boots since my teens, first discovered them in London area mid 80’s when staying with family. Can’t believe they charge £11 around your area, is £5/6 in S Wales. Don’t think I will moan about that price again! Pile high sell cheap seems to work best for us. And taking a supply of carrier bags!
Nina, the reindeer is a doll baby. Your Car Boot sale made you some great money, but those masses of people surrounding you guys were a bit terrifying. I can handle American garage sales where I sit behind a table and people come In pairs or threes. I’ve apparently turned into an old lady! 👵🏻 You two rocked it,though.
Core come to my carboot dam its bumpy getting in. I can garantee someone watching this is thinking dam wish i could have this to resell. You can deffo tell the resellers at your stall. Dam your stall was busy. Bloody hagglers wanting things for nothing. Did you see anyone that new you? Did anyone reconise the go pro?
To lazy to have a yard sale at my own house. Husband takes it all to the consignment shop, all the money goes toward him getting a newer car. If I had a yard sale the money would be in my pocket and not his, but, I'm old and fat and don't want to move anymore than necessary.
@@NicHills You are up early! I think we determined at one time that it is 5 hours ahead there as compared to my part of Canada, so it must be 5am there!
