Seriously. For real. Surrogacy is beautiful. Just like adoption. The punishment for scams in this area should not be as light as they are. The money is huge, but the emotional damage and harm is so extraordinary and profound that it should matter. Esp in making perpetrators thinking of scams like this to think twice.

I have a close friend who was scammed with an adoption scheme. The baby's biological mother was a young girl in a tough situation that just wanted a good home for her child. She visited them a couple times and their other children got so excited when she let them touch her belly because they wanted to meet their little sister. This family paid all her medical expenses as well as living costs during the pregnancy. When the baby tragically died the week it was born, they covered the funeral costs. They mourned for their lost child and had a picture of her framed as a keepsake. One of their friends was a photographer, and noticed that the color in the picture was off. A dead baby should look gray or blue, and the one in the picture looked rosy. They started investigating, and it turns out the baby in the picture was ALIVE. However, it was not their baby, it was a random baby picture this woman routinely used in her scam. She was never even pregnant to begin with. The baby bump was fake, the pictures were fake, and she turned out to be much older than she claimed. They started doing background research on her and found 2 other families she had done this to. They were looking for more, and last I heard were trying to pursue legal action. The thing about the situation that makes me feel sick is that this woman has hurt not only them, but also another real child and mother in need of help.

I just went through something similar while trying to adopt a baby boy, I was scammed for 7 months, she had done this with all 6 of her other children had hopeful adoptive parents paying her bills and buying groceries throughout the pregnancy then 15 minutes before the hospital releases them she changes her mind 7 times ! All7 of those kids lived in a two bedroom apartment in the worst part of Albuquerque NM that u could smell before u ever entered the house it was the saddest hardest part of my life and it happened March 2020 so it was already a super scary unknown time

It's weird seeing Judson Mills with long hair. He probably grew it out for the episode.

Some of my grade 4 classmates were extras in that movie. I believe the one kid had an agent or whatever, like he did acting gigs here and there for a number of years. But for this movie, his friends got to join him.

sadly, there are women like her in the world who would do this kind of garbage. that mother might have had a bad experience, but what she did was evil. selling babies like slavery, torturing and forcing parents like their indentured servants, and manipulating the police like they are her little employees. that is messed up.

True. A woman once approached me because she thought I had a baby with me. All smiles, super-friendly. The instant she found out I didn't have a kid, she ran off like I had bubonic plague. Really weird. I suspect she was like the characters portrayed here.

marla oldfield exactly. It’s not items or things she’s selling, it’s people (babies) who are completely innocence. She even admitted she was doing this for her and her alone

Debby makes me fucking sick. from one small stand point I've thought of being a surrogate myself a couple years ago but, what she did was beyond sick--that is an innocent child's life she's been playing with and dangling around as bait to bleed and torture those people sifting for the highest bidder!! part of me is sorry for her previous experience and yes the way the system works is deplorable and unjust at times but, that still doesn't grant her any rights to commit numerous extortions between the three families or absolve her of deliberate child endangerment and body trafficing of an infant.

people like that who sells their babies for their selfish reasons should be in jail long enough so she cannot bear any more children when she goes out. otherwise, she will repeat the process.
