You was really blessed to get that much because I have a small dealership myself and know that I as a dealer even right now I can get a 2020 Jeep renegade for about 14k to sale for around 20k. So they basically gave you retail value for the car.

I bought mine from car Max in 2017 a 2017 Kia Forte for 12k 8k miles now it’s paid off and it’s still worth 12-14k at 40k miles so CarMax can be a good place to sell and buy but u must always be aware.

I just bought a beautiful 2019 CT6 Cadillac from Carmax last friday,gorgeous car with only 18,000 miles,like brand new. I was washing the wheels last night and noticed the front passenger wheel has been repaired, looked at it further and can Cleary see the whole wheel has been smashed,so I go to the passenger rear wheel,it still has the sticker on the inside of the wheel,brand new wheel,brand new tire,it's the only new tire on the car. So I come on here to look at some videos about wrecked cars and find out the Carfax you get when you buy a car is worthless. They hid it from carfax, so when you buy a car don't go by the carfax trust me. The gaps in the car are horrible,not a line or a door lines up,everything is crooked,it's horrible,I'm a grown man,but I feel like just breaking down and crying like a baby,how can people do that to somebody,this is a nightmare I can't wake up from 😞

This really hit home with me. I've been watching your videos for a while now, ever since I got into university in London. I'm going back as a mature student and I was looking for content about people who have moved to London! I just sold my car yesterday and my mum said the exact same thing, that things are just falling into place for me. My insurance was due to be renewed, I had one more day left and I sold the car on that day! This video has made me feel like I'm definitely doing the right thing :D

I'm happy for you, and wish you the best of luck. Just a little advice.....try to stick with a car that retains it's value better. All cars depreciate, but some retain their value significantly better than others, IE Toyota, Honda, etc. Unfortunately, most people don't do their homework and buy because they like the look of the car, or whatever. This advice has served me well.

We sold a 2010 Compass. To them 5 yes ago. Thought 6000.0 would be fair. They said $10000.00. We took the money and ran . They even drove us home 12 miles

I know this is from two years ago but thanks for making this video. Bought a car from Carmax earlier in the year and want something a little different. Car is in pristine condition with every bell and whistle including gap/insurance. Hopefully my experience is as good as yours.

You're supposed to get money when you sell a car if you bought it right. I'm surprised that a dealer pays a fair price though.
