Redbull not saying anything and just showing up uninvited with a pallet of energy drinks to give away for marketing is such a redbull move that is not weird
you say that server rack "wasn't stylish enough" but "need gone ASAP" on the listing suggests whoever took it home got in trouble with their SO when they came in with it XD
"Don't come here by car, take transit" I guess the dude who bought the scorpion chair had to leave his kid behind as a loss prevention security guard while he ran to rent a UHaul?
Really enjoyed this video, bit unhinged, didn't feel scripted, some great humour in there, great to see the dynamic between you all. Thank you and I look forward to more fun videos.
The fact that they couldn't even give the scorpian chair to anyone at LMG, a company of over 100 tech enthusiasts and gamers, is mind blowing. The fact that they couldn't sell it for anywhere near the MSRP at this event as well just shows how few people must want to actually buy them.
I would love something in that form factor if I had the space for it. In that scenario though, I still wouldn't want it to be covered in sharp metal and plastic corners from top to bottom. If it was a more rounded soft and aesthetically pleasing design I'd be so down
The concept for them is amazing but the execution just isn't there, and they kinda require an entire room to themselves, which isn't something a lot of people have just around.
well the thing is, now he doesn't need to throw it away as wasted tech... instead people can enjoy something for cheap, linus makes a little $$ from the sales and the video most likely does well. unless you can point me to the losing side i vouch this as a win win win
@@chilledbit Look up "I Bought a $5000 PC in a Random Asian Tech Mall". Linus bought a 5K prebuilt monster PC with hard tubing and everything. Because he obviously couldn't fly that back he decided to just give it away to the first person that noticed him.
I love how Linus had a little backstory for some of the stuff, really shows how invested he is in the content and how much he loves what he does. New video idea, 80 year old Linus telling nostalgic stories of 'the good ol' days'
11:15 this tiny moment really shows what a wholesome guy Linus actually is. He makes a clearly light-hearted joke but he still turns around and gives the dude a look that says "hey you know I'm just messing around right?" All the haters who think he's secretly an abusive POS when the cameras aren't rolling clearly have a screw loose, something as fleeting as that really can't be staged. Sure, Linus makes mistakes sometimes, but this right here is how you can tell his heart's in the right place 👍
Honestly a W level of promotion with that random person's LTT screwdriver, that does show why i didn't get an invitation, also doesn't help that i'm 5500 km away from the canadian border
If I didn't have a wife, child, and 3 grand babies I would totally make the trip from America to Canada so I could be part of one of these. I've been watching you for so long. Some of the nostalgic pieces were so cool. Thank you for all your years of quality content and for truly helping the average person.
@@TurtleKwitty Don't worry, I was listening to a radio / media person talking about 007 having been replaced in one of the movies by an "African American woman". 007... American.
@@shuuko_tenohUnless what you really want is a weird AIO bin or some weird monitors, like the stuff he was practically giving away, the deals aren’t good enough to merit driving/flying there unless you hang out the whole time and get lucky bidding on one of the random things! Most of the stuff on the shelf/floor was priced pretty reasonably, but not like free tier. No GPUs for $100 or anything like that, in fact there wasn’t a single GPU for sale initially afaik, you had to wait for the auction! It was a super fun experience tho!
Remember... Buying new tech is like driving a car off the lot. As soon as you get it, it's less value, until it's out of stock (and really awesome), or a collectors item.
16:03 "I'll sell you the name of my first child" (there, that is a legal proof for/if when it happen, I hope that is gonna be a video in the future, good luck big mousepad owner)
Dont uk have sidemen that literally went to a video and splurge like tons of money lol Thats better than this cuz they can even buy what they want and not some thrift shop
If you've been watching for long and as evidence in this video, not only does he remember shit in inventory from ages ago, it's probably all digitally cataloged, as it should be. Any good business keeps track of inventory and they know EVERYTHING they have. When something comes up missing like that, they know.
@@tatecheddar Yeah but that was the point. If something is at someone's home then it can't be sold, and they get to keep it a while longer until they no longer want/need it🙂
Hey Linus, you said recently on WAN show you wanna have more fun and cover less negative stuff (definitely a paraphrase). This video is really fun and reminds me of classic LTT that got me into your channel in the first place. This just my personal opinion, but definitely thought it was worth mentioning!
Nice to see so many young new tech enthusiasts in the crowd. I felt very old as I'm in my 40s, but seeing that kind of excitement for getting stuff cheap and meeting the man himself must have been a great experience for many of them. Hope this inspires a lot of people! And it was also a very fun video, more of these please.
Yeah, you’re not wrong. I feel like someone could die trying to transport and/or use that things so it’s a little bit like selling someone a shotgun, but you don’t know where the trigger is. 👀😂
What they didn't realize, is Linus would've had to PAY someone to get rid of his excess stock. Now, these guys got a good deal, AND Linus doesn't have an overstocked warehouse.
You should be more specific. You know that Canada is the second largest country in the world by area? The guy who drove from Sacramento in the US only drove ~ 900 mi/1440 km. If you lived in Toronto the distance would have been ~2600 mi/4170 km and from Halifax ~3740 mi/5990 km. From some remote areas it would've been even further away and very hard to do as you cannot just drive or hop on a plane when you feel like it.
Really love any video where Linus directly interacts with the fans. Absolute chaos always ensues and it is great. The Colton Surprise alone was worth the effort, much less all the other stuff. Definitely hoping for a repeat somewhere down the line. Can't attend myself as I'm all the way in Australia, but I will certainly be watching anything with this theme again in future.
On your shop, make an auction for "item of the day". Then you can sell all kind of "perfectly fine" stuff. Make sure with bold and rainbow colors or something, to tell people it's bought as is.
I'm not usually a sucker for ads. However I got a deal on a IFixIt Manta kit a few months ago and honestly it's one of the best screwdriver kits I have ever used. The screwdrivers are perfect weight, they feel perfect, they're durable, the bits are durable, there are TONS of bits to choose from for basically anything you'd ever need... Loving it so far. I work as a tech specialist for a school district so it comes in handy when repairing Chromebooks, 3D printers or literally anything else. I occasionally take it home to work on projects too and it always comes in handy
And in those 17 years my kid turned 18 lol. Used to watch you and Kyle (Awesomesauce/Bitwit) religiously, build a pretty nice PC and then decided to pursue somewhat of a "career" in photography. Thinking I had build the ultimate PC I knew it would last quite a while, overclocked and all. And it has. My little I've Bridge I5 3550 has been going strong for the better part of a decade at 4.8. Never reached that magical 5.0. Only after 8 years or so I had to tune it down to 4.6. I remember Linus had about 5 million followers back then but 15 million and counting is great! Well deserved and good to see the show is still very entertaining. Time for a new build though. I don't think I'll repurpose my old build but I'm going to build one from scratch. I'm very excited.
Linus on WAN show (a few days ago): "DO NOT fly in for this garage sale! It is NOT worth it!" Also Linus during the actual garage sale: "This $6,000-worth bucket of stuff? SOLD for $3!!!" LOL.
@@hannthenan I was there in person. That person really looked like Seth everman, even the height too (I think, idrk how tall he actually is.) though his voice doesn’t sound like Seth, and the accent just isn’t him. Had to ask, I’d regret to asking. Though embarrassed myself though
I happened to be in the area with my girlfriend for a different event she was able to pick up a sweet motherboard for her rig. We were both happy to meet Linus for the first time! :D
How about randomly selecting one purchase of the LTT Store to get the opportunity to get one selected item added to their purchase for free? Probably has sone problems I didn't think about, but as of right now, I like the thought
