Selling My Lawn Business, The Why & What Happened 

The Deal that Fell Through & Worked Out Better Than Ever Expected In The End. I've never before in my life had a Man shake my hand, multiple times & give me his word only to later renege on the deal after getting his mom & current employers advice. Neither of which have any sense at all (His employer only hired meth heads, that should have been my first clue & his mom hasn't a clue of how business works nor could she raise her little boy to do right by himself) I won't mention his name because he does just fine smearing his own name. Some people don't have money & some people don't have sense and this guy checked both of those boxes. I still tried to push the sale through even as he renegotiated a few times, still keeping me whole but changing the form of pay slightly. In the end after transferring 90% of my lawns to him it turned out he didn't have the 10K to buy it in the first place. This curse turned into a blessing when our other business started to grow faster than the money came in. Business growth costs money & lots of growth costs lots of money. You get the money back in the end but covering payroll & expenses in the mean time can sink you if you don't have saved capital or a way to generate more capital to cover these running costs up front before the invoices are paid. Now I plan to do the same thing a little different. I am going to essentially give the business & equipment away for equity. The gift that keeps on giving. I will become a silent partner / Guide / Mind & money backer in a sense. I learned a valuable lesson. Get money up front, at least a nonrefundable down payment & NEVER, NEVER, NEVER Trust, hire or befriend a Meth Head. They are WORTHLESS self centered voids of people. After a little effort on my part everything was straightened out & returned to normal. The lesson was extremely valuable. No education is free, no matter where you get it. This guy will be slaving away at life forever & he deserves it. =) In the end I was compensated a little for my wasted time but there was a cost.
