I think they already explained it. Vids on the main channel are mostly about strangers and saying yes to risks or challenges that pushes them out of their comfort zone. Videos here are about taking the same risks and adventure but with people that they already know (or about them)
Can I just say the music is sick! Brings me back to college when all I was listening to was punk rock - Giving off the Simple plan, All american rejects, MXPX feels! Loving the vibe! Go Tristan!
Lots of people who make music don't realize that the way to get gigs is to literally ask venues if you can play and/or put on a gig there. Don't wait for someone to find you and ask you. If you're ready to perform it's way easier than you'd think to just go and do it. Shout out to Tristan for making it happen!
Waiiiiiit what?? I remember watching Lexi's story of everbody singing that song and trying to find out what this epic song was called! Please drop it on Spotify omg haha
"People R Ugly" is no longer a fake band ima need yall to drop an album and merch ASAP because holy cow you guys killed it! Definitely have the rock vibe down to a T and the genuine passion for music! Reminds me of another band "The Cab" when they first started out Definitely some stars in the making!
the fact than you managed to get together a band, write original songs, and do rehearsals all in 3 days is insane, thats so much work to do in such a short period of time.
Something my parents taught me growing up was 'It never hurts to ask, the worst that can happen is that someone says, no' and you then move on. You can try again or try a different way, but always keep moving.
I am a People R Ugly Fan from today!! This felt like a mini Rock Music Documentary. There are dreams that we think cannot be achieved at all that we don't even start pursuing. This video is a reminder that we need to just go for it no matter what the outcome is.
I very much resonate with this guy’s story. I am a teenager at the moment, and am a bit of a local “hot-shot” guitarist (even tho that feels egotistical to say). I, into my early teens, also was very serious about baseball, and had to choose between them. I went the opposite direction as this guy and am getting prepared to audition to music schools now. I imagine this experience as if I got to have a major league at bat when I’m 28 or so, which seems so wild and foreign. This video is a great story
Yeah man, I'm rooting for you here. Don't give up on it just yet my gee. If your music school has a sports team, you could join any just to keep yourself fit and keep practicing your ball game till an opening shows up and you get to shine. I believe in you even though I don't know you man. Peace my brother😁🤝🏿✌🏿
I was a baseball player as well before becoming an artist always played guitar on the side then got in a car accident stopping me from playing college and I pushed to music haven’t looked back people r ugly ep coming soon
I started watching YES THEORY couple of months ago and now I love it and it’s my favourite channel on RU-vid. I wish that you should keep doing this and may all your wishes be fulfilled. All the best !!! Yes theory - do reply if you read this, I will truly be overwhelmed.
I’ve seen many people who are in the same boat! They see this channel and are typically inspired enough after one video to make them go and binge 20 more before bed. What this channel does and represents for so many people is a game changer and has built such a strong community of strangers waiting to become friends
The song already sounds like a classic straight out of the early 2000s, sending y’all the best of luck, if y’all ever play at the house of blues in San Diego, I’m there!!
This was beyond amazing. Tristan's song is so good -- they could be signed. Awesome to see how supportive Yes Theory team is. Most positive group of people on the planet.
The best part about this video is that they are legitimately a real band now making music and doing multiple shows. To see how one moment can change the course of one's life if you just go for it is so inspiring and amazing
I've been playing in bands for 12 years and every single show still feels like the first. Terrifying, amazing, and life-affirming. There is nothing else I ever want to do. I'm so glad you took the leap to do this, Tristan. If you're ever in Australia, my band In Eyes will play a show with you. Let's do it.
That was so amazing! I wish I had the courage like you guys. I feel it deep in me and it only comes out once in a blue moon, but my severe anxiety will always find a way to ruin my moment... I love watching you guys, because I live through your experiences. Much love and respect to all of you over at Seek Discomfort!
“No dream is too crazy” ok but mine is to organize a big event without investing any money, but no company will let me because I didn’t go to the right school 🥲
Watching this on a day when I feel like I’m running out of time to achieve my dreams. Made me cry. Happy to see people going for and achieving theirs. I won’t lose faith and hope. I’ll keep pushing. Absolutely loved the story telling.
Whenever you feel like you are losing hope go out and just meet a stranger ask them to go get coffee or something this always helps me realize there's ways everyday yo make an impact
I remember watching this few months ago when I was just randomly seeing Yes Theory videos, and I was amazed at the idea of it. Now 4 months after the upload, and after watching all their videos, I realized this is such a Yes Theory thing to do, just like on their early years when they're doing Project 30 and more vids after that. I also remember Tristan saying something like he's a brother of someone that Ammar met few years ago, and exactly when I saw the swapping rooms video while I was binge-watching, I knew it was Austin he was talking about lol. They look sooo alike! And they also look like their dad! Haha 2:16
Ohh I had goosebumps watching the video! It made me think about a project that I've been too afraid to do now... Hope to see you in France (or England)! And thank you!
This was the coolest thing ever. Makes me want to drop my studies and become a DJ like I used to wish for :) Thanks again for such incredible storytelling @Seek Discomfort
Every time I watch a SD or YT video I feel my spirits lift. It doesn't even matter the topic. It's just the energy from everyone, the personalities and positivity. :)
Now all those videos on IG make sense....all of this is just so cool!! And why does it feel like Tristan has been with yes theory for a way longer time. It must be because he got in the YT spirit right away.
This is so incredible and inspiring. Tristan, you're a boss for taking initiative and making this come to fruition, from the idea, to the band, to the venue. All of it was captivating. Thank you.
This video hits a soft spot 'coz I always had a special place in my heart for punk rock. My biggest dream was to also have my own band and play music, and seeing Tristan do this makes me feel as if I've accomplished it as well. Thank you for sharing with us your dream and for bringing inspiration ❤️ Also can I just commend Ammar for being like the band's manager 😂 good job Ammar
OMG ZAK DOSSI STOP I LOVE HIM!! THE WAY I’VE KNOWN HIM FOR SO LONG BECAUSE OF HIM AND SOFIE’S RU-vid CHANNELS AND SOFIE’S AGT AUDITION!! AND NOW HE’S IN MY FAVORITE RU-vid CHANNEL’S VIDEO?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.
Also, Tristan, I understand that you have to work and all, but please continue with the band. Your spotify is getting some traction now, you could make it happen.
Very cool to see the baseball aspect as it looks like you played in the Division III World Series in Cedar Rapids......where I work for the railroad across the street from the Stadium!
The last two sentences in the video had me in tears. I've been afraid of following my dream to move abroad because I'm too focused on my career but I just have to take the risk and go. Life is short. Follow your dreams
My dream lately has been to just do some crazy acts of kindness and I am in motion on doing that with "the love forever project." Just me with assistance from people here and there doing acts of kindness. I hope to one day work with Stuart Edge, Jacob Carlini, ThatWasEpic, and Brooke Johnson doing acts of kindness. This all written on my bucket list that I have checked over 140 items off and have written 1749 (and growing) since middle school. Keep in mind... I am 26 now.
Definitely make more songs please!!! You guys made 9 original songs but there’s only 3 on YT and Spotify…. I’d definitely wanna hear the rest of them recorded.
