Cyprus doesn't sound like a song that would stay in the semi final and if Eurovision was judged purely on the studio versions, it definitely would have qualified in my opinion. It's just a shame that the live performance let it down. Not only were the vocals weak but also the staging I felt was too dark.
Ireland and San Marino definitely deserved to go through!! Both were amazing in the arena and on TV ♥ Belgium and Azerbaijan shouldn't have qualified in my opinion - but it is what it is 😁
Cyprus not qualifying is a true crime. Even though she was nervous, it wasn't bad! Azerbaijan should've stayed in the semi finals. I'm with televote on this. I mean how can you qualify with 0 televote? :D I would swap Azerbaijan and Belgium with Cyprus and Ireland. Belgium was boring and the backing track was too loud
Even Achille’s voice was not that good he’s performance was great. It was one my favorite acts of the semi final. He should have gone trough and he made me blush during the second semi final! 😳❤️

Feel pitty for Cyprus. She didnt sing well,not the worst one though. Ela is original, ethnic with a beautiful stage...she was too underrated for juries
North Macedonia: Hearing that she lost her voice, I was lowkey happy she didn't made it through(even tho she did her best) Cyprus: I agree with what William said Isreal: Considering everyone hates the song(and him), and was in the 2nd spot, it was obvious. San Marino: I would've put him through based on the staging alone lol Ireland: the one, I can actually say was robbed Malta: obvious nq for the televote. If she did her other songs from her EP, I feel like she would've done better. Montenegro: If this wasn't in english, she would've done better Georgia: Not surprised, but I liked it
ESCTom has a great video explaining the 'voting pattern irregularities' and how they can't be explained away. He's working with statistics and probability professionally so he knows a thing or two about attempting to manipulate numbers.
I think that Cyprus 🇨🇾 okay wasn't the performance of the night but coming last on the jury vote?! Behind Georgia, Montenegro, Malta and Israel. It is not quite fair. Plus overall coming 12th behind North Macedonia is also quite surprising
Second semi was really hard to pick up ten of them. But there is a fun fact u mentioned : Azerbaijan made it through the grand final without televotes. And it's first and only country made it in esc history.

I knew in my gut feeling that Ireland should pass through GF, the Jury was stingy to their votes for Brooke 💔 Azerbaijan was just lucky that they have very strong Jury Votes for them, and that alone saved them from dreaded 0 Televotes
I like how they are focusing on Montenegro being high with the rigged juries like it's the only argument that they cheated. While the main uncontroversial argument to this is that all these 6 countries had each other on their top 5 except for Montenegro that at least put Serbia second to not look that suspicious (below Georgia lol)
The juries had no business putting Belgium as high as they did considering the empty performance and the weak vocals - especially in the jury semi final show
The only NQ where I agree with the fandom is Ireland, Brooke did really well. But if I look at the other most voted NQ countries on the poll... Austria and Albania in SF1? With those vocals? And yeah, Cyprus really fell down in my rankings after I heard her live, which is a big shame because I liked the song a lot. Personally I'm sad that North Macedonia barely didn't make the cut, and though few others do, I liked Georgia and Montenegro a lot as well
Ireland and Cyprus in sf 2 and Austria in sf 1 were the biggest robbery in Esc ever, the quality of these songs and the beautiful stage...and the results...no way

Regarding Romania /Georgia voting etc William & Deban were addressing. I don’t think there was anything odd was happening with the voting 🗳️, respectfully when are people gonna accept a lot of voters /juries are bored or Australia /Sweden & the likes - we can even see it in the public vote at the finals
I actually like Azerbaijan. I cannot understand the hype around San Marino, terrible song, terrible vocals, terrible staging. It was a mess. North Macedonia I feel should have gotten through.
well, honestly, cyprus over azerbaijan anyday anytime. also i wasn't happy about belgium as well, it was boring (for the second year in the row), so i would put ireland in the grand final instead.
Israel 🇮🇱 was the best of this bunch. I get why not many people like it but it is one of my faves of the year. The staging was good but the camerawork let it down. Michael is also really charming and charismatic too. The song in the studio is good. I voted for it. I also loved Ireland 🇮🇪. It was fun and the staging and singing were good. The studio version was great too. My mum actually voted for her. Montenegro 🇲🇪 was good but her vocals were slightly shouty and the staging was limp. The live honestly let me down because the studio version is amazing. Cyprus 🇨🇾 took time to grow on me and I like it now. The staging idea was nice but the vocals and execution was a bit off and it came off as a little limp to me. North Macedonia 🇲🇰 was good. Her vocals were good and the staging was good but not impactful enough. Georgia 🇬🇪 was good too. It was the quirky vibe that the semi needed. The performance was decent and I loved the little part with little version of them in the mini amphitheater thing. Vocals are decent. My mum voted for it. Malta 🇲🇹 was honestly bad. The performance was cringe and just limp. Her vocals were off too. Really high school in a bad way. The performance of San Marino 🇸🇲 was too much for me. If was bad for me but I have got to admit it was engaging but not necessarily good. It is still my last place of the year and will probably always be. Overall this batch of NQs was good but actually not as good in my top as semi 1. The songs and performances overall were pretty good. I loved the contest this year and can’t wait for it next year. PED is starting to set in for sure.
For me I understood all the NQ but San Marino. It was insane how it didn’t get through. Agree with Debian top 5 of the night. I think Brooke was a great performer but the song was not great. From Ireland
Well, I understand the stances can be different and subjective but taking things that happened out of the stage into account makes no sense at all. Like, it's a SONG contest and yet we still care about the live performance but leaving the entry out because of the artist's behavior on the turquoise carpet or even in the green room is such a silly thing to do.
I'm watching this a year late! hahaha and then I have to catch up on the 2023 semi finals before the final which is align tomorrow phew! I'm surprised Georgia didn't go through cos that was actually my favourite!
Oh and gurl, those 6 juries DID agree with each other to vote on each other. Yes, ALSO Georgia. They are not just being weird, they did fixed votes. Compared to the other 5 juries who did it, it was exactly the same result
I'm just surprised that we got all three sad boys through in Poland, Australia and Azerbaijan. I was certain they would cancel each other out and one of them would miss out on qualification but Azerbaijan got saved by the juries. Even more unexpected is the fact they got company from another sad boy in Switzerland!
Brooke started off great but don't you guys think she was drowned out by the background music? You'd hear "that's ri- " then noise noise and more noise. There was also a lot going on. Imo the only one that didn't deserve the NQ was Georgia, the song was repetitive but I loved the quirkiness. Romania should've been in its place. Cyprus didn't go through because Andromache was too static and the choreography didn't fit, giving the impression the whole performance was off, if you ask me.
if you go to her section on the turquoise carpet, you can see - the photographers wanted a photo of her without the flag that she was holding, so she threw it out of frame, and that caused a lot of controversy for "desecrating a national symbol".
She also had no one else to hand over the flag to in that moment, so I can't blame her for doing what she did. The photographer in question was hired (by EBU?) to take photos with all contestants sans flags so she basically had to put it somewhere to the side. And it's also obvious in ALL other situations where she has a flag that she loves it. If there's anyone that is disrespectful and abusive it is the Macedonian broadcaster itself.
I would put in Cyprus and Ireland in, but instead of who? The qualifiers were also deserved I think. I would probably take those two in and Serbia & Finland out, but not sure. Strong semi, that was the point. The aggregate results from those juries, or the fixed results, wouldn't have made a big difference. Because Romania defenitely has NOT have had normal voting procedures. But on Montenegro, yes, I would defenitely put her above Serbia, both on vocal abilities & impact. And I'm sorry, but in NO universe should Poland be out instead of Ireland
This might be a very different opinion but i would no doubt kick out Australia (its simply too boring) , Serbia (i only liked the chorus) and Belgium (just okay for me) and instead put through Cyprus, Ireland and Montenegro. These 3 are masterpieces, especially Cyprus even if the staging wasnt the best!
Azerbaijan out no question asked, out of all the 40 songs this is the only one I couldn’t even reach the 30 seconds mark, the song awfully boring and goes no where.

The countries who qualified totally deserved it. I was hoping for Cyprus, but she gave us nothing, her vocals were bad. The other countries were weak af. I have never heard anything as bad as Ireland, we weren't even able to listen to it, even my dog sounds more pleasant. Next time send a singer please.
You know what, if the song is not responded by public at least with a single point, that song doesn’t really deserves to do well, and Spotify proves that now, look where Fade to Black ended up now. Grand. Final results? No, thanks. Juries just ranked his vocals but not the song, which imo and in the respect of all viewers was bad!!! You can’t deny that, it gone through mysteriously. And don’t please bring subject that I’m Armenian, not it’s just an honest opinion, while Rosa made it through with 105 points by televoters, being 3rd and 4th by juries. So, thanks.
i would defenetly put in San Marino over Estonia in this semi. Estonia was terrible, the worst song of ESC 2022 no cap. San Marino was amazing, deserved to qualify.
Come on!! Azerbasjan was meehh.. You could not hear him sing in english. Maybe The tv sound was not good. I watched it with my family and i am The Eurovision nerd of The family. I told them that this was inn english and they was in shock. They did not hear that. And song and perfomance was meeehh.. he performed in sweat pants got dam it😂😂 when you Are inn Eurovision, you don’t perform in sweat pants !!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
