👍 Edit: @cream cookie " 船旅。自分では行けないから動画で行った気持ちになってます。 " Translating Japanese to English: "Cruise. I feel like I went there on video because I can't go by myself."
With so few other passengers, a semi-private room is as good as a private one! Good food, nice gift shop and well-equipped arcade. But lonely! Thank you, Itsuka!
I wanted to ask the same question. I think some Japanese feel that it is rude to take videos of other people without their consent. But there are other channels that also include reports of ferry trips, and they too give the impression of a post-apocalypse Japan in which everything works but the people have disappeared. It is a mystery.
my first ship assignment was a VLCC owned by Idemitsu Tanker. My superiors were japanese and i learned a lot from them.. I have been to Tomakomai twice. 2005 and 2007.
What a beautiful ship! I loved the rainbow colours and found the bedroom to be lovely. Semi private but still very private too 😊 The food looked to be exquisite 😍
Butter candy is one of my childhood favorites! In my country they are subtly mint-flavored and either called "butter mints" or "dinner mints", because they're often enjoyed after dinner ☺️ so fun to see something similar from across the world!
What fun! The boat was really nice, the food looked amazing, and the fairy stamp was beautiful! From watching your videos, I now love curry rice and always have some at home (the Golden Curry brand). Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us!
All of your videos hardly have any other people travelling on the same routes. I have been to Japan and it was busy everywhere. I would love this kind of solitude;) Next time I go I must travel early spring or late fall, and on less popular routes. I would love this peace.
I've always found the differences in breakfast items fascinating. I personally wouldn't be able to eat such rich spicy foods in the morning. The foods that are eaten in Japan for breakfast usually are eaten in the afternoon periods in the US.
It's interesting to watch these videos on random places in Japan, from someone living in the UK who has never been. It's very relaxing and interesting. Everything seems so clean in Japan, the manners so much more mild and restrained then here in the West, but it seems too that the cultural hegemony is more tyrannical, the people far more conformist - but this has preserved something of the spirit and enables the Japanese people to have a wonderful instinctual restraint to the point that Britain and America actually seems like a madhouse by comparison. But you're human - your bound to fuck everything up like the rest of us. It's who we are.
Arigato for your video! Cheers from Canada! I have always wanted to visit Japan, but with your videos I feel like I am there! Those vending machine Cup Noodles....ahhhhh........I cannot find Nissan Cup Noodle anymore, they were the best! Love the retro design of the ship, reminds me of the Netflix show "Stranger Things". Arigato gozaimasu!
3:26 I love that the Japanese are considerate of others. They require headphone use. Tokyo is the largest city in the world but in the trains the Japanese do not talk on the telephone. They are very considerate people & they value silence. 私は日本人が他人を気遣うところが大好きです。 ヘッドフォンの使用が必要です。 東京は世界最大の都市ですが、電車の中で日本人は電話で話しません。 彼らはとても思いやりのある人で、沈黙を大切にします。
Great trip. Feels like back to the past, everything. I think the temperature should be 0°C rather than 0°F, because if it's 0°F, Japan actually on Summer season
There were several people there. But I try not to take too many pictures of people for privacy reasons. I really want to take pictures with the scenery 😂.
