Edit: Made a how to sketch a face video recently! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ANEebD4bjnw.html For those of you who wanted to see more about sketching and proportions for my art style, go ahead and check out the video
2:35 One problem. I don't think my Sketchbook app has anything called Soft Brush. And I seemingly don't have a way to get Sketchbook Pro, whatever that is. What can I do?
sometimes when u watch an artist in yt and u follow the steps while watching its like they leap time and when they zoom out.. you go like '' what did i miss???''
in the past i watched this with like 0 digital art experience and understood nothing but now coming back here with experiences this has helped me a LOTT so thank you for making this Fungzau💖💖 - aspiring semi-realism simp
i honestly clicked this video because the guy in the thumbnail looked like hyunjin, i didn't actually expect you to use him a reference! i love that 🥺❤️
See... If she didn't mention it was Albedo, I honestly wouldn't have known. I saw the thumbnail for this and thought the art looked amazing, but it's just different enough (design wise) from Albedo that I wouldn't have guessed it was him lol Definitley wanna try more of this style if I can pull it off :D
Just discovered you, and I absolutely love and appreciate your artwork as well as the tutorials. As someone who is trying to get more confident with semi-realism, this is super helpful.
Nothing about this video explained how to actually draw "semi realistic" anime. You just walked through the technical process, but not the semi realistic style process. You'd have to actually talk us through why you decided to put brush strokes down where you did, to explain the style. What you talked about in the video could be applied to any sand all styles.
Thank you so much, your tutorials helped me a lot! Now my digital arts are much better, continue with your videos i believe you are helping many people with these! You are amazing!
When i saw the thumbnail i was like wait that hair looks like hyunjin's but the face looks like albeado and then i saw you gave albeado hyunjin's hair. LOL
I think when people draw the cleaner sketch they draw the lines all in the same size, and i'm just saying it looks better if you make the lines *thiccer* where the shadows are and lighter where a line ends or where more light is shown *shrugs*
Hi there!I just recently found your channel, and I would like to say that this video of yours made me want to give semi-realism one more try. The way you explain the process side by side with the footage being at somewhat normal speed makes everything so much better to understand! You earned a new subscriber^^💜💜💜
on whatever app you're using you can put on alpa lock for your lineart layer, or make a new layer on top of it an set it to clipping to your lineart and just paint over it
nvm i dont think semi realistic is my problem maybe its just the fact that i cant draw faces. i just always dosent match the body. smth always feels off
I have a similar problem I think for me it's that I perhaps focus too much on the face that the body ends up plain in comparison For this I decided to draw bodies with blank faces until I liked how the bodies looked. Maybe your problem is the opposite. Too adept at bodies that faces feel off in comparison. If not and u still can't tell what the problem of a certain piece is. Leave it. Come back to it later. Like a couple of days or distractions later. And STUDY it. Like actually study, just sit there until u r able to tell what the problem is, zoom in and OUT and eventually you might be able to figure it out..?? This is what I've always done and and what has always worked for me. I study my mistakes or what I don't like until I figure it out. Perhaps compare it to ur reference. I have this inner dialogue, for example: The face doesn't match the body, why? How exactly doesn't it match. Maybe the vibe is off? They feel like the face is in a room and the body is in another? Prbbly a lighting and shadowing problem, try to mimic the body's style and see where it goes. I've rambled on enough 😅 I hope this made sense, growing in art requires patience, practice, and learning from our mistakes. Your doing great, keep going ❤
Oh goodness this helped so much! I just have one question. How were you able to select more than one spot you wanted to use the tool Lasso with? I have yet to figure that out.
at 2:50 there's subs saying "press Shift to make multiple selections", maybe that's your answer! :)) too lazy to try it out myself rn but i hope thats the way! cuz how useful is that pls 🤤
