Mango season is at its peak. This is the perfect time to buy some lovely mangoes, raw,ripe or semi-ripe and enjoy them the way your heart desires ! I got my hands into some pickling this time using some semi-ripe mangoes. Yes, today's video takes you through the preparation of traditional South Indian semi-ripe mango pickle. I like a sweet tinge in every dish and this one worked well ! Hope you would like this too !

Thank you so much!!!! for sharing this recipe.. I'm trying to make pickle for the first time and I bought semi ripe mangoes instead complete raw mangoes. Everyone is having recipe with raw mangoes but only you showed this yummy recipe and save my life..🤗

Wow.. amazing recipe, i am making it right now.... What is the shelf life of this pickle? Many times my pickles grow fungus in a month or two

I bought some raw mango to make acchar but they turned out semi raw. Was wondering what to do. Thankyou so much now I will try ur recipe. Btw can I use mustard oil instead of sesame oil?

Hi Farah ! Very glad that you are going to try this one ! 😄 To get the authentic South Indian taste, it is better to use sesame oil (til ka thel) .. mustard oil is equally good but gives a nice and different taste altogether . Go ahead 🤗

Hi Mam, Yummi recipe and well explained. Just one question. I want to.make about 3 kgs of this pickle so for how long can this pickle stay good. In fridge or out of fridge. Please let me know. Thanks for sharing yr awesome mango pickle recipe.

Thank you dear Carmaline for your compliments ! Made my day ☺️ Coming to your query, If you are making 3 kgs of this pickle, i would recommend you to store in fridge. Ideally, the pickle will do good at room temperature, but still we can be extra safe. Out of the entire batch, maybe a small quantity(500gm) can be kept outside for regular use, and can be refilled from fridge as it gets over . Hope that helps

It can be stored in room temperature for about 2 months ,if handled properly. Every time, use a dry spoon to serve pickle out of the bottle. For extra safety, you can store in refrigerator .. will come for years..
