Check the lil springs n clutch synchronizers n make sure when building it auxiliary is in time weather ur using 26 28 32 in both sides n put it on low range check pistons of splitter some on shifter top if leaking need a new top or lil piston to have c clip push towards back if not it won't shift fro
The fiber content missing from the syncronizer also causes it to grind during shifting. The syncronizer pretty much acts as a brake to slow down the shaft speed so the gears can mesh smoothly.

Back in the 1980's maybe 90's Eaton Transmission rebuild kits were very reasonalbel With a skilled driver the sliding gears would not wear.. The only things I ever replaced in my Transmissions in 40 years are the Sychrnonizers.. the old ones were Brass the newer ones are Fiber.. the Fiber ones have more bite I suppose..

I'm guessing I need a new trans because mine will disengage while going down the road without moving the shifter and I have to rev it up a bit to get it to re-engage. Anytime there's a load on the trans as just using the rpm's to slow the truck I hear a clanking noise like it's trying to pop it out sometimes jerks the truck a bit.
I have a 13 speed in a Peterbilt 388 model as a paccar engine 2012 my biggest problem is when I go into my highs & lows on the overdrive the truck starts to shake a lot I put it in neutral then put it back in gear after that it stops shaking it really gets away from me when I'm floating I've had the clutch replaced recently has a higher torque clutch this problem was occurring before I had the clutch mostly on the hills sometimes on the straightaway
I got a Meritor 10 speed and sometimes from a stop I shift into gear. Its accepts the gear. But when I let out the clutch to go it doesn't move. Then I shift back into neutral and it makes a weird noise like something spinning. I basically re select the gear and re let out the clutch to hopefully move.
I have Eaton fuller when I drive in 10 gear it makes q grinding noise when I’m in 10 gear driving only sometimes it makes The noise . not all the times
I was told and read here and there on the internet that can upgrade my trany from a 10 to a 13 speed with a shift kit instead of buying a new/used 13 speed transmission. Is that true or its a gimmick or BS. Thanks
Mine sometimes grabs when I’m in high 5 an split it, it grabs than when I split to low to go into 6 it sometimes try’s to hold it in 5 but than grabs into 6

Awesome video and great explanation, subbed. I have an Eaton fuller super 10. When I hit the splitter from 6th to 7th it makes a grinding noise as I move the stick to engage 7th. What can you advise me? I’m thinking is the synchro like you said. Thanks
I have a 1999 fl70 eaton fuller 5 speed manual transmission but it not airbrakes it hydraulic brakes , when I go in on clutch and place I to 5th gear it stays but pops out after I release the clutch does this mean my gears is worn and do I need a transmission overhaul please help , I know this could be a really good truck if I can get all things fixed , it has a 3126 cat engine
My truck takes time to shift from neutral into high side it’s automatic transmission it seems like it takes time to think which gear it should go into what do you think what could be problem and what do you think in this scenario any estimate how soon should I fix it to save it from breakdown over the road thank you and respect
I have a super 10 transmission eating Fuller the ass end of it at the yolk has taken and vibrated to work it's not it's just got a heavy vibration it's loose can I take that back half off of there and either put another one on it or can I take and just rebuilt that portion
Hi I have a 2007 Mack Granite with a maxitorque trans. Mod: T310M. Brand new clutch, When I try to start rolling with the truck in low gears, releasing the clutch the truck doesn't go instead I can hear like grinding in the trans. high gears work fine but when I push down the range selector I can hear the air but not the clunk on the transmission. ( sometimes it works fine but after a few minutes it starts doing it again) any idea of what might be the problem? thank you
Hello Adam how have 2016 freightliner cascadia cummins engine when I change to higher gear RPM goes down to 10 RPM and the loose power and the gear some time stuck at low gear and back to neutral some times and hard to change the gear in some of the gear what do you think

Hi, my 13 sp developed a leak in the pto gasket up against the trany ran low on oil makes winding sound on1st n3rd n 5th all shifting n is good n all other gears are normal. What is you opinion? Thank you

My truck is a 10 speed manual (Eaton) the gears stock was on high range (I was told that this was a minor issue) But The mechanic told me it's a big damage, they need to rebuild it for $ 3500 without labor!!!. I agreed. Then I found out, that he replaced it with another one, that one doesn't have a cooler (my transmission had one) tell me please if what the mechanic did is right/okay?. Should I accept this transmission ( the new one without the cooler)? He's working on the truck now, haven't finished yet.. I still have time... should I accept what he did or not?? Please reply 🙏

My T2000 has a 13 speed with a PTO. Driver going down the road lost all gears but 3rd gear that barely grabs. I suspect PTO engaged while going down the road. Clunking noise in transmission when not in 3rd gear. PTO will not disengage. Would all other gears not work except 3rd because PTO is engaged or is it more likely selection fork issue? My next step is to pull PTO and see what I find. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Currently driving a 10 speed I'm having a difficult time shifting. My gears seem to grind when I'm in neutral and I go into high range and even though I'm in neutral and when shifting into 6 gear in high range it grinds alot was wondering of you might help me figure wtf is going on lol thanks man.
@@TATEXPRESSINC could be clutch engagement issue mine has a hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid which wasn't filled up from the factory it had just enough in it to prevent air getting in and mine would kinda wanna buzz going into any gear taking off I'd kinda double clutch it to get it into gear to not grind em which it's was very light but it's a 10 speed and much as Iove Eaton trans I only like 13 and 15 and 18 speeds in my trucks I got this t680 new a couple years back and I got a good deal on it so I took it even though it was a 10 speed it wouldn't take much of an excuse to swap over to any the 3 I like lol
I know I am late to party but I have a question. I have a EF RTLO-18918B and when shifting from the low side to the high-coming out of 4th, raising the selector up, the trans make a brief grinding noise (while in-between 4 and 5 the natural zone) but as soon as I enter 5th, its fine. The trans does not have any other issues, I am able to shift thru all gears, there is no metal on the plug, truck as been serviced regularly, truck has 789k miles. Advise?
Most reasons why the gears are worn out..it's because transmission oil hasn't been changed often enough...has to be changed every 300,000 or 3years ...I doing like this..I have 2.5 millions miles on it ....

Rembo Hero sounds like the transmission could be over heating. Not every time you will get a check engine light. I would check fault history on transmission.

Hi, I have a question I got a 2006 Volvo with a cumins isx when I’m driving my gear shifter keeps coming out of gear on almost all the gears and I feel like when I accelerate my trans has free play so it bangs when the engine engages whits the trans. Should I be thinking of a rebuild?

I would have the clutch check to make sure it doesn’t need adjusting if it’s a manual adjusting. You would need to check throw out bearing to stop brake clearance.
Question I have a truck that I just installed a new clutch in but it’s still having the same problem grinding in only in the first gear after I get the first gear in it’s smooth any trouble shoots ?
