Ingredients
Breakfast PRE-MIX
1. Semolina - 500 gms.
2. Oil - 100 ml.
3. Onion - 1 (60 gms.)
4. Carrot - 100 gms.
5. Green peas - 2 tbsp.
6. Ginger (chopped) - 1 tbsp. (10 gms.)
7. Green chillies - 5 ( 10 gms.)
8. Mustard seeds - 2 tsp.
9. Urad dal - 1 tsp.
10. Curry leaves - 3 sprigs
11. Turmeric Powder (optional) - ½ tsp..
12. Salt - 2.5 tsp. ( 15 gms.)
13. Roasted asafoetida - ½ tsp.
14. Sugar - 1 tbsp. (15 gms.)
UPMA
1. Pre-mix powder - 1 cup
2. Lemon juice - 1 tsp. or to taste
3. Clarified butter - 1 tsp.
4. Salt - ¼ tsp.
5. Water - 1.5 cup
RAWA IDLI
1. Pre-mix powder - 1 cup
2. Curd - ½ cup.
3. Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp.
4. Water - ½ cup ( total) + 1 tbsp.
5. Eno fruit salt - 1 tsp.
Points to remember
PRE-MIX powder
1. Split Bengal gram can also be added.
2. Fried nuts may also be added.
3. Vegetables are to be fried separately since frying time is different.
UPMA
1. Use rolling boiling water for making upma.
2. Stir for one minute only.
3. Time taken for upma to be cooked depends on the degree of roasting of semolina.
RAWA IDLI
1. Water added depends on the degree of roasting of semolina.
2. Add Eno after water in the steamer has started boiling.
3. After adding Eno, mix till the batter is frothy.
