By the way, I would like to disclose that I'm Canadian. So that means that I, as a foreigner is more knowledgeable on the US Constitution than the potential next Mayor of NYC and former NYPD cop. 😂
That's right, but not in your own home. You are responsible for your kids and what they are/aren't doing. Have I needed to go that far? No, but some parents have. He is bringing awareness to those that need it. It's okay to search your kids' rooms if needed.

This is what happens when u become a cop, u become paranoid. Anyone who thinks the parent needs to do this with their kid everyday is nuts. This can create mistrust in a relationship. If u justify doing this with ur child, then ur also likely to justify snooping on ur partner or a boss snooping thru his subordinate's belongings in the workplace. U create a rift by doing this. It leads to distrust and can damage a parent's relationship with their child.
