lul i can't believe it 1 million views from singa tracks hope singa will be better next kuro no kiseki tracks i know he's talented composer but sometimes his inconsistency is the real problem
@@JRPGforlife don't forget about drums and sax from his tracks its also not very good too hopefully singa knows his weak and improve in kuro no kiseki tracks
Same i've already preordered the limited edition on nisa website, it's going to be expensive asf for me since Iive in Canada but regardless i'm excited to get it once it releases
@@naboume466 Not sure for Loewe (well, now he is dead (still don't know how I manage to beat him in Sky 2)) and Campanella. The first defeated a dragon all by himself. The second... I don't think he would be able to defeat Valimar, but he would be able to avoid all the attacks.
That's the only thing I kinda didn't like about these games. The villain brags about how their's "really going to give their all this time" and then (sometimes after a tough battle) ,like "psych!" Ugh!
@@jonathanwashington6083 That's something I liked way better about sky and Zero/Azure. The unwinnable battles are hard as hell, but if you still win then the cutscene after they go 'oh shit you beat my ass' and have to use some underhanded trick or escape instead of just powering up and beating you anyways.
I think this is my favorite battle theme ever. It mixes rock with violin and piano in a way that works, and it gives off a vibe that you’re testing how far you’ve come against a powerful opponent
@@JRPGforlife Eh, Severe Blow just kinda feels like a less interesting version of Fateful Confrontation tbh. Fateful Confrontation is tied with this for me, because I like violins as much as I like guitar lol.
Even with a paltry 70% dodge rate (Evergreen + Evade 1,2 + Shining) I was able to dodge most things and counter with literally more damage than Rean's S-craft and I blocked her S-Craft with Adamantium Guard. It wasn't too bad lol.
Idk why, but whenever this theme (especially the piano part) comes in, my hands just go overdrive with how quickly I make commands. Gotta match the tempo no matter what! ...Although, I make some of the stupidest mistakes lol.
This song is such a beautiful mix, at once elegant, energetic, playful, inspiring, nostalgic... I don't even know how many feels are in there, but that's at start. I love how, at certain points in the game, this song illustrates how much you and your companions have grown, accentuating your collective strength in the face of extreme adversity. What a fascinating composition.
@@chariothe9013 I like this perspective, and it's really nice seeing it from someone who hasn't played them yet. That's something I can't do, but I think you're right! Falcom really are masters of their musical craft.
Kind of love that this song is specifically used in the Enforcer fights at a point in a Trails arc where we've seen the protagonists grow further than we have at any point previously. Like, they're Ouroboros and they're still stronger than you, but not nearly as much as they used to be.
Come to think of it, I think CS3 is the first game in the series where you're fighting multiple Enforcer-level opponents at once before the final dungeon (as early as the first chapter even).
@@Abysslord1234 While Duvalie is indeed enforcer level, Altina definitively isn't (especially after seing her level in CSIII) PS: Leo and Xeno are both enforcer level too
I still think Sky did enforcers best where they're stronger than you for the whole game but you slowly catch up to them as it goes on, finalizing in a big confrontation that wraps up or sets up arcs depending on the character. Spoilers for Sky SC: Especially at the end of Sky SC where you fight Walter, Luciola, Bleublanc, and Renne on the Axis Pillar. Walter falls over in exhaustion, Bleublanc's mask breaks, Luciola is backed into a corner before jumping off the building, and Renne is broken on the inside and doesn't have any will or way to fight anymore with Pater-Mater being in a bad state. Not to mention that all of these character wrapped up/set up other character arcs, such as Zin's arc with Walter, Olivier's and Kloe's with Bleublanc's, Schera's with Luciola, and Joshua/Estelle with Renne, even to some extent Tita and maybe Agate with Renne. Zero/Ao did overall boss fights the best imo, with each character going through their own arc with boss fights as well, but when it comes to specifically enforcers, I think Sky did it nearly perfectly.
@@LectornAnigame I also thought Sky was a better series overall but Cold Steel's so good it barely matters. I think the reason I prefer Sky is that Cold Steel falls into the trap where Rean actually has this hidden power so the story makes the Bildungsroman growth explicit through a weird abstraction and beats you over the head with it. Sky's great because Estelle's special hidden power is....just being really nice. A good kid who draws people to her because they want her to succeed.
Maybe this is just me, but the song sounds kinda...playful? It's not super serious sounding like Erosion of Madness. Just a bit lighthearted. Which is honestly perfect considering the pretty goofy personalities some of the enforcers have, and the song mirroring that is kinda perfect.
It really gives the sense that Rean is seen as being on a completely different level by the enforcers themselves. It DOES seem playful, because they're familiar and they genuinely want to see if they can push him to use his full force. And he desperately tries not to. Rean is holding back so much of himself he changes his starting crafts. That's really something interesting in a game where Agate comes into CS3 with nearly frame-perfect animations of what we know he will do in combat.
I kinda see it as the Enforcers and out heroes being closer to equal footing when it comes to battle power. It's no longer chumps vs monsters like before.
I really like the return to a groove-heavy battle theme. It reminds me of Trails in the Sky and the ongoing story that is still culminating across the continent. Also violins.
I really like this piece, JDK has been to into electric a little too much the past few years and kind of forgot about their amazing piano / violin melodies.
It's weird, because the guy most prominently dragging them into that is also the one who composed awesome stuff like this and Hope Alive. When he lays off the trashy bubblegum EDM he can make some amazing pieces, and it always feels like such a waste.
Falcom Team, on behalf of all the players and fans, i would like to say Thank You, for giving us this amazing game series with, great gameplay, beautiful soundtracks, and awesome grand story! You have set a very high standard for a jrpg, and i promise you, i will support you by buying all the Trails games if you localize all the games into english and release them on ps.. (said with Rean tone and vibe)
I thought most of the soundtrack for this game was underwhelming considering how bombastic the first game's was, but I like this one most out of the themes for this game.
I mostly liked the music from The Black Ark and Galbalan. But... Everything else just felt "Just your standard background stuff." And there is nothing wrong with that, some pieces are really meant to stand out. Ernst for example will stand out more than a standard boss theme, because it is character specific. *I really could not get into Ys sadly. But if you enjoy it, Kudos.*
If you want to try, a good starter is Trails of Cold Steel 1. If you like it, I highly recommend you play or watch through the earlier arcs (Sky, Zero/Ao) because a lot of the plot in Trails of Cold Steel 3 and onward draws on the worldbuilding established in all 3 arcs.
I wasn't feeling this theme the first 2 chapter boss fights. But the magnitude of the chapter 3 boss fight and chapter 4 mock battle this played I was full on jamming out to when it was playing. Fits those boss fights so much more.
@@arfbarfultima in some of the fights this is very much not true lol the only one who really holds back is mcburn because everyone always whines to him about it
Hilarious that some people retroactively hated this track when they realize it was Singa lmfao. This is an objectively good track. Singa being able to make good tracks was NEVER in question to begin with. His issue has always been consistency. Not quality. I'd argue even his bad tracks have lots of good parts
Well, everyone's asses would still get kicked if they went 1 on 1 against enforcers. But now, everyone is at LEAST strong enough to work together to take on MULTIPLE enforcer-class enemies (See: Chapter 3's End Boss Fight)
@@tummus1227 CS4 SPOIL: Mcburn will headbutt Rean into oblivion, we need to get a lot stronger to fight him 1v1 ^^ The dude can take all the monsters in Class VII together and take hit from a full power Valimar after absorbing several Divine Knights, he would wipe the floor with us , let's hope we get the Ogre form back in Hajimari at least
@@guifire9747 (CS4) I'm not really sure which direction Hajimari will go in, but I really doubt we'll be fighting McBurn as an actual antagonist again. I saw some screenshots with him as an enemy in the Reverie Corridor, but based on the final dungeon in CS4, he seems pretty pissed at the society and I doubt he'll stand in the way of C, Rean, and Lloyd if the Society is still the main antagonist.
When playing CS3, I hated this song for how often it played. It would play everywhere. Vs Ouroboros, vs Victor and Aurelia, vs a couple NPCs, playing as a couple NPCs, my friend's bar mitzvah, at my funeral, at my sister's wedding, during D-Day at WW2. Ok, a lot of the later statements were jokes done for hyperbole, but its constant appearance made me hate this track. Far removed from platinuming it, CS 4 and now onto Crossbell, I have a great fondness for this track.
Me years ago when trails of cold steel 1 release stop playing it cuz I thought it was boring Me now played near 400 hrs on 1-3 awesome character development , awesome story everything about this game is soo good
Bro if I would’ve never gotten a free week of PlayStation now I would’ve never played the first two either but my god am I happy that I did. Such a gem
@@krishnaprasad8712 i agree with you there however I found the first one just a bit more enjoyable then the second mainly because of the fact that your in school the whole time and I liked being able to watch characters progress. But yes machias was an ass but now he’s aiming for GOV’NA
