Always liked the little detail of the train whistle in the background at 0:27, given how prominently railways feature in this game.

It's so cool to hear this for the first time in combat.

Falcom's battle music are incredible. Well, all their music is excellent.

This game will always hold a special place in my heart, even after playing all the other Trails games sans CS4, since it's the first Trails game I've ever played.

I just started playing this game, and I absolutely love it. The music, the characters, the atmosphere, it's all amazing.

This song somehow gives me so much nostalgia, it was the start of an amazing series for me

Class 7 should've played this at the Festival. Instead of singing they can just say "Leave it to me!" and "it's my turn!" and overlap them

This song is just really, really catchy; no matter how many times I listen to it, it just doesn't get old. This might not be the first thing that comes in mind when you think "study music", but it's nice to have it in the background as I do some homework or something

When I played this Game for the first time and realized this theme is used just for regular Enemies, I knew I was going to love this Series

I've listened to this for years and even after playing through Sky and Crossbell games "regrettably after playing Sen 1 :(" I still never got tired of this theme. Can't wait until Hajimari is released!

The title of this track is supposedly what prompted XSeed to use "Cold Steel" in this series' English title.

Jeez, Falcom, give us some room to breathe here! Sophisticated/Strepitoso Fight, Determination of Fight, Get Over the Barrier, AND NOW THIS!? You just seem to outdo yourselves every Gad dang time! HOW!? YOU ARE AMAZING!

I didn't like it at first. But it grew on me. The more I played.

1:26 I literally stall out the fight to get clean moments while this part plays. I'm loving this game so much!

Just made it to chapter 2 right now and I'm loving this theme! I've always felt JRPG music is best hearing it in context first, so hearing those first notes in-game for the first time was mesmerizing.

Just started playing this game a few days ago and this battle theme would fit perfectly in a Samurai Warriors game.

By far the best normal battle theme that I've ever heard in a game. Played through the game several times over the years and this track still hasn't gotten old.

I remember doing a battle at the beginning of the game and not really listening then all of a sudden 1:27 kicks in and I just got freakin pumped.

Pretty much all you could want in a modern JRPG series if you're on the fence about playing them. Really feels like an old school JRPG with all the QoL changes you wished there were in older games (mind you I still am cranking through 20+ year old RPGs all the time but this game really surprised me in the quality). Its tough to praise falcom for making good music since that is all they know how to do but even this exceeds their already high standards

As of CSIII, this is my favourite Trails regular battle theme.

Orale! This track, which gave the game its English title, is a right good mix of 80's High Energy music (the arrange) and 90's Techno (the tempo/beat). Way to go, JDK! I confess I'm finding myself with this track stucked in my brain...and it feels GOOD!

Ngl, Kuro 2 Crismon Sin has this track available, and it fits soooo well every time I enter combat.

Favorite normal battle theme right in front of Tales of Phantasia.

Sounds like a final boss theme and it's just used for normal battles. That basically sums up this entire game, it's on completely different level than most other games.

Autumn Leaf Cutter 紅葉切り For me, this OST usually represents me spamming the above skill like nobody's business :P EDIT: Actually, try it at 1.25x speed.

Best modern RPG series of the modern era, even though I love Persona 5 this series can't be matched! :)

After listening to this battle theme so many times, it's kinda hard to explain, but...it almost sounds melancholy. Like the battles with Class VII aren't just with the enemies they've encountered, but they're also battling with their personal inner-struggles. The track makes it feel like the battles are taking place within themselves, and the tone of the piano kinda carries the weight of it as well. At least, that's what I think.

Being honest, had this game in my backlog for years and never touched it since I didn’t have the time. Shaping up to be one of my favorites so far and I can’t wait to play the rest of them. Gotta thank the YS series for getting me into Falcom’s games.

The bass is so damn busy, i love it.

IMHO, this is best standard battle theme of the Cold Steel series, has this real feeling of Resolve, staying alert and giving it your all.

IMO this theme is the most memorable normal battle theme over every Trails game (including Sky & Crossbell games)

Domination Gale Rean with Higher strength than Laura and higher Speed than Fie absolutely breaks encounters, then taking Domination Rean and using his 200 CP S-Craft nukes even the final boss. I absolutely slaughtered the end of CS 1 on my second new game playthrough once i figured out how to optimize. Fie the evasion tank, Laura the Tank, Rean the DPS and Emma the caster
