He is indeed a person with brave strategic vision, astute, pragmatic and a critical thinker, which are essential traits acutely lacking with the majority of Philippine politicians and public servants. Many people never saw Trillanes as this kind of strategist bec he was painted by the Duterte govt (or strategists) as nothing but a failed and forever failing putschist. But look at him rowing the boat when the others are just watching the tides. He's right. If serving the people is deep in your heart, you need to first win, which you can never do if you do not get off your high horse and engage with the masses. Your goal is to serve but you can't do that by losing.
